Initially, I was a resident at the Boulevard Townhomes when it was under Raven’s supervision. Raven was very polite, professional, & respectful but I’m unable to attest the same for Trish. Trish has spoken negatively about me to other residents - the same residents that she’d come “hang out” with during her working hours. As a resident I don’t believe I should be told “she’s racist, don’t get on her bad side” or “ her Man is only with her because she provided him with a job & he tries to get with other residents when she’s not present”. Now, rather those statements are true or false - I’m unaware. But I believe Trish has racial profiled my brother & the father of my children - she’s accused BOTH of them of selling drugs without witnessing either with drugs. She asked around to my family members about me, my personal life, & the relationship I have with their father due to him being there “too much” . Although, he was only there when I worked, had to run errands, or to spend time with his children unless they went with him. She’s had a problem with the order of my house due to it being unclean or the clothes on the floor at times & proceed to write me violations. I’ve invited her over on various occasions when the unit was cleaned & only received declines. If her or the workers (her man & her friend George) ever taken any photos of my home it was only when it was dirty never when it was clean. It wasn’t mentioned the home I relocated into was known as the “bed bug house” & that the house had roaches. When Trish suggested that my home was heat treated for bed bugs as she felt it would be the best option - she attempted to bill me $1,500. Now, there wasn’t any evidence that I am the reason the bedbugs were there & I was personally told by the young men that treated the unit that it was “ only a matter of time before you got them because the next door neighbor has a problem with them “. Trish never informed me of that issue. Trish tone is very demeaning towards me, she’s hung up the phone on me in the middle of our conversation, called the police on me, & banned me from the Boulevard Townhomes. I’ve called corporate & spoken with Noel - she said she’d return the phone call - yet the issue continued to be neglected & I never received a response. I was informed it was useless due to her having a strong connection with the bosses. She always refers to the townhomes as “hers” even though she’s a worker, maintaining another individual business. The photos of move out doesn’t look the same as mine - the only photos I don’t have is of the kitchen as I paid a helper to assist me to finish by theirselves … which they didn’t finish, so I was charged for the clean up fee which I understand. When questioned where was the $1,000 + worth of damage Trish didn’t have an answer. Ultimately, the fees were paid & I’ve successfully relocated. Trish has mentioned that she’ll get me removed from Section 8 permanently - as a threat. She’s even stated that my case worker “has told me about you “ although I’ve been under the impression that our relationship was fine. I’ve always complied with Trish unless I believed her actions were unfair but she continuously tried to write me off as the “aggressive black woman”. If you read the reviews I hope that you take them into serious consideration. There’s a reason this complex has a high turn over rate.

Don't move here. As a current resident I'm sorry to say it isn't worth it. Our things get broken outside all the time. When management is contacted it takes forever for them to respond. The yard opposite fritz is a swamp that spawns a seemingly infinite number of mosquitoes. Which overtake the property. Just try to walk through it.

Asked to be reimbursed for the cost of cameras since they weren't doing anything about the crime at this location or the damage that's coming to property of residents and Trisha's (property manager?) response was that I wasn't capable of doing her job and not to criticize her.

Wiring in the house must have been run 1000 years ago. Literally half the lights in my house are strobe lights. No matter how many bulbs we replace.

BRAND NEW WASHER/DRYER!!!!!!
The fuses that run them are garbage though. Our first week on the property our dryer and dishwasher went out and I had to wait over a week for them to special order the fuse that goes to half my house.

The upstairs and downstairs seem to run in completely different climate zones. Downstairs will be 35 degrees, upstairs is 80?

Not all, but plenty of parents don't supervise their children on the property. There's a playground and a basketball court, which is all well and good until there's essentially toddlers lost in the backyard alone screaming.

Also 95% of the plugs in my house are 2 pronged.... Why? I was told they would be converted months ago?

Cool.

Do you like toilets that flush? Don't live here.

Do you like your things to stay yours? Don't live here.

Do you like being able to just live without contacting management over stupid things all the time? Don't live here.

Electricity that just does what you want it to? Nope.

Long and short, don't move here. There's plenty of other places in town to live that aren't run by managers that think they are to good to help residents.

New carpets are cool I guess....

Edit: They also pushed for a five star rating when we moved in, so if you see short 5 star reviews, this is why.

Second Edit: It is currently 8:00pm on Wednesday July 17th. Just had a maintenance man (although he was polite once we spoke) open my door and walk into my house. No knocking, no announcing he was coming in, just wandered in and stood in my living room. Had I not had my dog I wouldn't have even known he was there. He then proceeded to tell me i wasn't supposed to be living in my home?

Called the main office (Trish) to discover she had given him the wrong building number.

Thank god the gentleman didnt open the door on someone who was gun happy.

Third Edit: September first. It stormed last night and knocked out the power. Because all the outlets in the house are old school 2 pronged outlets I am now without an xbox. Neat. This is more frustrating because I was told this would be fixed within the first month of me living here by Raven.

So to add to the list

If you like wondering if you just caught someone breaking into your house, past business hours, unannounced, when you just got home from work then this is the place for you.

If you would like to live somewhere where management is competent, I still recommend looking elsewhere.

Also offering me coffee wont stop property damage. Security cameras aimed at general locations, and competent leadership will,

I moved here in Sept. 2018, and I can honestly say that I'm so glad I did. Our Leasing Office staff and Maintainence crew are the absolute best there is. Need something fixed or have a problem, they're on it right away.

I love our home here!! And always recommend this place to everyone.

Thank you Trisha, Raven, and Bryan for all that you do!

Boulevard townhomes is a joke. Trisha at the front office is very unprofessional and rude and I don't see how she is a property manager. Loud music all night long and gun shots. Threatening people and just will unlocked people units and walk right on in. When it rains the water just sits there and take days to evaporate. Took 8 months to fix washer. Outlets don't work. Maintenance is a joke. Going to file a complaint with the Illinois attorney General office as well. They don't deserve any stars

Beyond disgusted with The Boulevard Townhomes. I applied to live here on February 6th 2020 and i got approved for an apartment the same day I applied and paid a 99$ security deposit to have an apartment held for me. They gave me a move in date for February 28th 2020. A week later or so they called me back saying I made too much money and I was I was not able to move in here (even though I was already approved and paid money down), but told me if i worked a little less on another pay stub they could write down I made less money and basically cheat the system to get me inside the apartmemt and then after that I was told I could work and make as much money as I wanted...which completely defeats the purpose of having Income Regulations to begin with? Since I was told i was not approved any longer, I applied to another apartment and got approved and signed a lease with them. During this time The Boulevard Townhomes went through my pay stubs again and I was magically approved for the 2nd time, but I already signed a lease with another apartment so I was not able to move into The Boulevard Townhomes. I was told it would take 30 days for my 99$ deposit back from holding an apartment, but later they told me since they approved me, then denied me and already gave the apartment I paid to be held away, then later approved me again and I was already living somewhere else and couldn't live here even if I wanted to at this point they were NOT giving me my 99$ deposit back and they were keeping it as a fee. I feel completely SCAMMED. It's not my fault I was approved and then denied and then a while later magically approved again and moved somewhere else while I was under the impression I was denied and unable to live here. Extremely unprofessional to not return my 99$ security deposit on a place I paid to hold and was denied and never even got to step foot into and was jerked around for weeks...approved, not approved, approved. Potential renters, PLEASE BEWARE.
