As a drywall contractor, I completed a job for Ryan back in August. It was a pretty big job with an invoice of over $13,000. He paid about half of the invoice and promised to pay the other half soon. He never said there was a problem with the work but admitted he underestimated the job. Instead of absorbing the mistake he made, he just decided not to pay and stopped answering my phone calls and messages. He previously didn't keep his word in small things but I didn't see him stiffing us like this.

Ryan did a wonderful job of overseeing our kitchen remodel from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed working with his in house designer, Raquel. She had great ideas and suggestions during the process.
I found his pricing in line and he always had creative solutions to unforeseen issues that pop up during a remodel.

The project was done in a timely manner and the sub-contractors were great and scheduled with very little delays.

The daily clean-up on the job site was good as well.

Overall from start to finish well organized and flowed smoothly.

On an overall scale of 1-10, I would put him darn close to a 10 and will likely use Ryan and his team again for any future projects. If I had to knit pick, I would say that some of the post-work touch-ups and minor repairs were not completed as quickly as we would have liked. But, he did always follow through and complete our requests.

Final score 9.5 out of 10 and we will continue to recommend RC Contractors to others in the future.

We hired RC Contractors to finish and remodel our basement to create a media/recreation room, sauna room and wine room. Ryan, the owner of RC Contractors, responded promptly to our request for an interview and discussion of the contemplated work. He gave us detailed drawings of the project for us to review and included our suggested revisions in the final detail. He also provided us the names of various sub-contractors and vendors for specialized work and did an excellent job of supervising them as part of his contract with us. As with any project of this size there were minor touch up details that were not noticed by us until the project was completed. Ryan promptly responded to our requests and his crew completed the work to our satisfaction.
We contacted Ryan on several occasions since completion of our project asking him for the names of sub-contractors for minor work in areas of the house. He has responded quickly with the names of suggested sub-contractors whom we hired. We recommend RC Contractors without reservation.

Ryan and his team completed a major renovation at our house which consisted of redoing and reconfiguring kitchen from ground up, adding a wall of French Doors from kitchen to deck, removing a wall between kitchen and family room, adding custom woodwork throughout house which included wainscoting in dining room, living room and stairwell, patching and changing color of hardwood throughout house and finally reconstructing 900 SFT deck with gazebo. All of which look fantastic. The interior work is pictured on their houzz site.

All of of Ryan’s subcontractors showed up at 7AM and worked long hours to get the work done. They were all very professional, friendly and performed worked with expertise.

Any issues that arose, Ryan was quick to come up with solutions and get them resolved. Ryan is focused on schedule.

Racquel who helped with layout and choosing finishes listened to what we wanted and offered great suggestions to bring the project together. She along with Ryan provided samples or pictures of tile, woodwork, stains, paint colors, light fixtures, hardware, decking colors, etc. so that proper decisions could be made prior to ordering any material.

Overall we are thrilled with projects that they have completed. We did the interior work first and then followed up with exterior deck work. This shows that we are satisfied with RC Contractors.

RC Contractors nailed our project out of the ballpark! We recently had our bathrooms done by Ryan and his crews and the details are amazing! Couldn't believe the quality in the cuts, layout and planning of our project. Very well organized from start to finish and we couldn't be happier.

We hired Ryan to build a deck for us 9 years ago. He used composite decking, and left no space between the floor boards and didn't use end caps, per the installation instructions from the manufacturer. Because of this, after the first year, we started having issues with standing water (because there was no room for drainage) causing the boards to warp. When I tried to call him, to have it looked at while still under warranty, I got the "this phone number has been disconnected" message. I tried several times, and finally just figured he had gone out of business and we were screwed. Since then, the deck boards have become so warped, and many are popping.

While on Houzz planning my bathroom remodel, he shows up as a contractor...I couldn't believe I found him again, and he was using the same business name. I contacted him and told him the issues I was having, and he didn't reply for over 2 weeks until I told him that I would be happy to post pictures on FB for him to see the issues. After I mentioned that, I heard from him within hours. He sent a project manager to look at it, the project manager took photos, and then again, I didn't hear a word from him until I emailed again and said I would have to take it up with the BBB. He then replied, within the hour, that he is under no legal obligation to do anything since it was past the warranty,
However, that would have been impossible, since he did not contact me, a client with an existing warranty with his new number so that I could have it fixed within his one year warranty.

He also stated that it was likely an issue with the product he used (UltraDeck) and that I should contact the manufacturer . So I did. I sent pictures and explained that I had boards that were warping and popping. They replied back that it was installed incorrectly and no space was left between the boards and there were no end caps and the instructions for their product clearly states that that is mandatory. They stated that I should contact my contractor and have them take up and replace the boards. I have forward this to Ryan and have heard nothing.

So, now I am stuck with a deck that that we paid over 30K for and has boards popping and warped because it was not installed correctly and Ryan is refusing to stand behind his work. This could have all be taken care of within the warranty period, but he did not contact existing clients with a new number, which I find to be a very shady business practice.

IF Ryan had responded to my original emails, and was willing to come out and look at it himself and work with us, I would be singing his praises as a man that stands behind his work and has high ethical standards for his business and probably would have hired him for my bathroom remodel. But instead, I am warning others to be cautious using RC Contractors for any project. I have never had an issue with a contractor before, and have never had to leave negative reviews. But I have been left with no choice. I have given him many chances to try to work something out, and he has ignored my emails, and the fact that he did not build my deck correctly. If I could leave 0 stars, I would have.

RC Contractors performed several updates in our home, the master bath was completely gutted, including walls. They were great to work with, timely and friendly. Will recommend them to my real estate clients.
