I sought out this neighbor as their house had sold for a good price and in a reasonable amount of time. Lynn is professional, a good listener, good communicator, and available when we needed her. We placed our house on sale and bought one in Florida. We thought the realtor for the seller of the new house we bought was not good, until we worked with Michelle Nunez and realized there was somebody worse.
We had to push to get the pictures and staging she had promised. She also pushed us to accept the first offer we got, which in a market like this, tailored to the sellers, was not good, but with her, everything seemed to be the least effort as possible. Once we signed with her, everything was dragging of her feet. Honestly, we chose her because she lives in the same subdivision, so we thought with us being gone frequently, she would keep an eye on the house. Nope. It felt like she was working for the buyer, not us the sellers, and it was probably because we were leaving Illinois so she was eyeing the buyer for future references. I should have noticed that with all the houses for sale in the neighborhood lately, mostly everyone chose somebody else, not her. Maybe they knew something I didn’t. When she finally agreed to get the pictures, she shoved shampoo from shower and little things around the house in cabinet and closets, including a plant that she placed in a dark closet, and died because neighbor did not find it to water. She promised to put back whatever she moved for her pictures, very little things that are normal when people did not vacate the house. She never did. She also broke the new patio umbrella. When we told her about the stuff miss placed, we did not get an apology so I asked her not to enter my house without permission ever again. I never had to do that with a realtor. Arrogant and not responsive are not qualities we appreciate in a realtor. We had to chase her to get a return call or text. She forgets that, even when we left the state, our friends and family are still in Illinois. Thank God that in this market, houses sell, especially beautiful houses. Otherwise she would have been forced to make an effort. Too many good realtors out there to choose.
