Thank you Malta Development for bringing our vision of a home addition to life! Malta Devpt displayed a best-in-class level of care, skill and craftsmanship. This experience was unlike working with any builders in the past - Every sub-contractor that came in demonstrated the same level of care and commitment to their respective trade. They all stood for the highest of quality products/results. It was clear that all subs were part of a tightknit community - everyone knew everyone, and quality work was always assured.

The site supervisor, Eric, treated the project like it was work being done in his own house. If he was not pleased with the quality of a PIECE of wood, he'd replace it. If he dented a piece of siding, it was replaced. Everyone from Wayne, to Rob, to Mike demonstrated commitment to our project and ensuring we were happy. I'd recommend Malta Devpt to ANYONE looking to add an addition/renovation to their home. 10 for 10!

To start. BUYER BEWARE. Bought a Ranch Style townhome from Malta Development in February 2021. Had leak in master closet ceiling (near fireplace) a year ago. Malta patched it. Saturday 10/7/23, had another leak in master closet (same area) coming through nail holes that damaged the California Closet shelving. Sent Shannon

I spoke with Tom regarding this matter. It is no longer under warranty through Malta Development. We can send someone to look and see where the water is coming from and pass a contact on to you to have the problem resolved. Please let me know if you would like me to set up for someone to swing by and look?

This is normal for Tom and Malta Development. Never take responsibility.

Besides fir this issue, we have multiple tiles in both bathrooms with hairline cracks in them. Our granite countertop has a crack. We had a flood issue due to the grading of the property. Tom was so understanding as to tell me that he would deliver soil so I can grade the property better. They did install a dry well that will hopefully work. .

DO NOT EVER FEEL COMFORTABLE doing business with Malta Development. Read the reviews. .

I was so excited to be building a home with Malta Development, but the mishandling of contract paperwork between selling agent and builder should have been the red flag. Sadly the end result is not the quality I was expecting after reading reviews and being sold what they claim “a luxury home”. We had to fight for updates during build. It took months to start and no word from the builder on why the delay. The long delay resulted in loss of a rate lock on the mortgage requiring extension after 12 months. It was built during COVID which I understand we had delays country-wide, but even mentioning that would have been nice, but instead received nothing. Updates were 100% provided by friends, family and my realtor when in the area to take an exterior photo.

Corners are a mess, paint job is sloppy and overall just low quality in materials used, especially in baseboards which most are warped (yes we have a humidifier during dry winter months). I don’t think anyone used a ruler or knows how to square things off properly. Project management during build and during limited warranty coverage are what I call a “hot mess” and all over the place. Mismanaged work intended for one home is done to another causing complications all around. I give 1 star for blueprint layout and that is all. I would not recommend this builder based on what we received in the end.

Update as of 1/2023:
Plumbing in the basement was never at a correct pitch into the furnace for proper drainage causing pressure issues and poor heating. The gas input was also not calibrated according to specs. This may not be a builder specific issue, but it does reflect on their choice of outside contractors used.

Awesome experiences adding a master ensuite bathroom to our home. Challenging angles and requirements were no match. From the beginning of the engagement on our needs, building solutions, providing fitting options, daily project management, engagement with trades through out, flexibility on timing they kept us informed and worked with us. It all came together with quality finishing from all of the trades. Incredible end product and now enjoying our great new bathroom and built in wardrobe.

Thank you, Malta Development, for building our high-quality home. While there were a few minor issues post-construction, Malta Development and their subcontractors honored their warranty and resolved them all. I’ve lived in my home for over 10 years now without any problems since. Even after more than a decade since closing on our home, Malta Development continues to provide support for any questions.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!This company is a disgrace to other businesses...They hired us and never paid the moving bill $2500 when they moved from Ballston spa to Saratoga .....Wayne authorized a printer move down a switchback staircase and I warned him of consequences and well his Boss Tom decided to not pay the bill because ink leaked even after Wayne agreed to liability. We moved everything else to complete satisfaction all big desk 4 man crew that they refused to pay the Bill!!!

We recently purchased a Malta townhome and couldn't be happier. The overall quality of the place was an honest surprise considering the price we paid for the place. There is an endless amount of amenities (it seems like we've discovered a new perk every day since we moved in) and the overall design, both inside and outside, is absolutely beautiful. So much so that I'm leaving my first company review I think I've ever written. At this point we have no plans to ever move out of this place, but if we do it's a guarantee we'll be coming straight back to Malta.
