Hometown Property Management is absolutely terrible to work with. The staff (specifically Shelly) is extremely rude and petty. We were terminated from our storage unit lease after being there for 7 years and paid in full (cash) simply because Shelly didn't like that I emailed her with a complaint when she left town and failed to unlock our unit after cash payment was made on a Tuesday and we were told 48 hours and it was still locked until Sunday afternoon. They are hardly ever in the office to make a payment to them, and if you don't make it in person you pay extra fees and then supposedly it takes nearly a week to "clear" / process (even if paid via debit card). Jim from Ace Storage was always wonderful to work with. Once Hometown Property Management took over, the experience has been terrible. They harass you with phone calls when you're even just a few days late (and likely because they aren't in office to PAY them!), and don't have any remorse when they drop the ball and inconvenience people's jobs (like leaving work early to pay them when they decide to be in office) or money and time (like when you line up moving trucks and the unit is still locked well beyond what it should have been). Completely unprofessional and unorganized, and if you complain, they'll just terminate your lease. Petty!
No surprise their rating is low. Everyone we know that has worked with them has been unhappy. Avoid at all costs.

In regards to the "numerous reasons our lease was terminated of which you won't list--- " funny enough that my husband went in to talk with you and find out your exact reasons and you stated it was simply because you don't like me complaining to you when you're conducting business unprofessionally, and because I called the emergency maintenance line when we were on sight with a DOWNED ELECTRICAL WIRE that hung so low at the gate, it was touching / scratching our car to get in and out. We called the fire department and also called you to tell you and additionally ask why our unit wasn't yet unlocked. You could have explained and heard why I called, but you were rude and told me to "call back Monday" and hung up abruptly without even a care to the fact that we were there with police and fire department.
Also, funny enough... you left out the part in your response where you offered a BRIBE to my husband that I would have to "permanently delete my Google review" and you would "consider letting us have the unit an additional month." I have friends who rent with you, and they are paying $120 a month for the same size unit that we were grandfathered in at $80 a month. Let's be honest, you didn't like my complaints AND were looking for a way to get $40 a month more off the same unit.
Funny enough, you also sent us a bill to try to bill us for July when you kicked us out and gave us until the end of June.
The best part? You were willing to send an email with all of the details of your bribe in it. Lol. In regards to making an appointment, we did. SEVERAL times we called ahead and left our jobs early to meet someone there, just to have no one there answering just 5 minutes later. We've found a unit cheaper, cleaner, and the company is absolutely beyond polite and friendly and well maintained. If anyone needs suggestions for where to go for better pricing and business, shoot me a PM on fb and I'll let you know.

My husband rented through this property manager when he was on a long term work assignment in the area. Upon move in we had to clean the apartment because there were crumbs in the kitchen cabinents, the bathtub was disgusting, and the bathroom toilet and vanity hadn't been cleaned. Upon move out the apartment had been left cleaner than upon move in but they said there had been a half hour of cleaning necessary. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Or if you do be sure to walk through the apartment with a representative and get in writing on their documents the lack of cleanliness. Complete scammers.

First income. Fixed that. After the review then they said they would work with me. Now credit? Seriously they got my $30 still not approved. Sad. Too worried about a 1 star that will forever stay. Nothing about this experience was pleasing. Your response is an out right lie!!

Looking for someone to show your rentals, manage them or just do all of the background checks or needing someplace to rent this is your place! Shelly & Kristen are super nice & so easy to work with!

Trying to register an account with the website and reset my password a million times and just says "unable to locate existing account." Cant apply for any rentals this way so i just gave up
