We had a great experience building in Gleneagles with Pulte. As first time homebuyers, the idea of buying and building seemed daunting. Pulte made the process so smooth and simple. Jenny and Peter in sales helped guide us throughout designing our home. And Bryan our construction manger was so hands on, kept us updated, and was so responsive in handling and questions/concerns we had. We had a great experience with Pulte and love our new home and community!

Loved working with Pulte on our new home. They made this process very easy from start to finish. Very upfront with the costs and timelines which were very important to us. They stayed in constant communication with us from start to finish, giving us updates often. From their sales team, design and project management, and finance & title company, Pulte exceeded our expectations.

Overall, very happy with our new home! It wasn't a flawless process the whole way, but very happy with how everything turned out, at least in the immediate weeks after closing.

The area is great (it is an in-demand community), so be aware that you can't just come in and pick any lot you want.

I would recommend listening to Peter & Sue's advice on things like lighting & flooring, as the basic lighting in the homes is fine, but adding in additional lights and reserving a healthy flooring budget really changes the feel of the home!

Not a good experience. Signed up for their "VIP" list months before open but was not contacted for the VIP grand opening where people were able to claim lots before competitive bidding was introduced. Sales rep acknowledged the oversight and said they weren't sure how I fell through the cracks. They didn't do anything to make it right and instead went to their robotic "demand is high" sales pitch.

Tried to remain in touch for a few months. After multiple games, run arounds, and late updates that I had to figure out on my own, we decided it was too much of a hassle and walked away.

After digging further into homeowner reviews in the surrounding Pulte communities, we feel that we dodged a lot of disappointment and headaches. This community was not for us but now we're happy in a custom home in Naperville.

If you're looking for a better quality house and way better experience in Lemont, I highly recommend checking out local builders like Castletown Homes or Beechen and Dill. It was night and day talking with these builders and their homes were truly steps above in terms of quality.

Do Your Research (read reviews from all over). After my initial meeting to review a potential home purchase, I experienced their deceiving bait & switch methods used to suck people into what they feel will be an affordable dream home when in actuality it is nothing more than a very expensive home burden (so many hidden costs.. very little comes standard). The price you agree to and are then quickly asked to put a $50K non-refundable down payment on is BEFORE you will be asked to select many standard home features which Pulte considers customization add-ons (cabinets, etc).. When I asked to see a listing of what comes standard or options and prices for upgrades that would come up in the later “design center” meeting before making my downpayment, they declined to provide it. I’ve always assumed the best in people, and they make you feel good after your initial meeting, but thousands of reviews clearly show what this company has done to so many people/families.

had discussions with sales consultant, and were assured that things are not as read online when it comes to shady business practices, and then got email proving exactly that.
stay away - they hold on purpose lots, and then say that potential buyers need to bid on them - even though was strongly advised that such would not be the case.
very shady business practices, and we're glad we did not move forward with them.
PS: they responded to me but it is nothing true what they said.
first, they raised prices by about 10k. Initially, price for Newberry was 474,990. then when we came during 2nd visit, they raised price by 5k, even though nothing, literally nothing has changed - except 3 weeks have passed, with promises to open new lots. Was told new lots will be available May 1st, then June 1st. Now prices are 482,990, all and all while literally nothing has changed, well except for the fact that interest rates for mortgages went up.

Moreover, now they moved the plan to release new lots to July, and asked for bids for lots - See attached print screen of their email. We were told in person that such practices are not and will not be present on this community.

Not only did they raise the prices by 8,000.00, they now ask much much more for lots. So even if you win the bid, there are some lots that require 19k-42k in extras, otherwise you can't take on that lot. If you do win, you have to make a 60k-70k deposit within 24h.

That is before you even start customizing your home.
The model you see on the Newberry, is about 200k in extras, so don't be fooled by what you see. If you go by what they offer, you will get a much much lower quality on everything.

There was no miscommunication, only bad faith and deceptive business practices.

Pulte, you should be ashamed!!!
