Jerry Curwick is a great builder with an amazing team! I absolutely loved his project manager Mykenna. She is a very hard worker and gets the job done! We did not design our house ourselves we actually swooped in at the end when it was completely finished, and we’re able to purchase this beautiful finished home. We are so happy with the layout and the finishing touches that we’re put into this house (picked out by Mykenna) and we could not have asked for a better team than Curwick construction! Thank-you guys!

Absolute nightmare for almost a year.
No workers at our home ever, we have family in the area that are constantly checking up. Was actually told no one wants to go to our house and work, so why pay a builder when I could’ve contracted people out myself? It’s a joke to them.
*Had to redo the roof (thank god we caught it or we would have been scammed out of a master bedroom cathedral ceiling)
*electrical had to be redone numerous times due to being lopsided or just lights in completely wrong spots
*sliding glass door was wrong color and took months to replace
*picked new quartz because ours became sold out, then they installed the wrong size and tried to charge us $5500 for their mistake
*a completely missing cabinet in our kitchen that they said “this is how you ordered it”(as pictured) uh I’m not the builder, I didn’t order anything…isn’t that your job?
*didn’t tell us they were upgrading our shower and that we would be sent the cost-GO OVER YOUR ENTIRE BLUEPRINT. If it says “6 ft shower” they can charge you $2,000 bc they “usually do a 4 ft” it makes absolutely ZERO sense. I’m absolutely appalled what they can get away with. Our invoice from the tile company says “$95 upgrade” and they charged us $600. And another $1000 in extra labor? For their blueprint “STANDARD”. Oh and then told us it would be $800 if we wanted a SHOWER DOOR.
*they ordered all of the wrong bathroom countertops the week they finally promised they’d finish the house(after the THIRD “inspection date” came and passed with nothing done) then a week later told us the countertops CRACKED IN HALF and it would be another week.
*have never seen our house, we had to remind them numerous times it was all brick and they kept stating we had siding of some sort.
*sent us a bill for $5400 for our window and door upgrade when thankfully we were the ones that ordered the windows and doors ourselves since they never did and had an invoice of $4700
They broke 3 of my lights I ordered out of pocket & let me foot the cost to replace the shades.
All of the trim is done incorrectly! Okay who built this house!?

The amount of mess ups that had NOTHING to do with “covid” is unbelievable and unacceptable.No one answering phone calls, no apologies, no help, a million excuses, blaming the customer….I think the pictures show enough. Covid doesn’t mean poor craftsmanship and rude business practice. If you don’t have workers and can’t keep up with your contracts, stop signing them.

Went through 2 rounds and hours of “selections” only for it all to be jumbled and not relayed to each other. Who did you tell you wanted this? Who did you tell you wanted that? A ton of time wasted. In 3 weeks the only thing done was grouted tile in 3 bathrooms. 3 whole weeks. Built a much bigger house with a different builder in 4 months, always had workers there, nothing for us to babysit. They really just don’t care. It’s not worth it. Super disappointing and depressing.

After looking around all over for homebuilders, we decided to go with Curwick Home Builders because Jerry was so personal, honest, and professional with his approach to his business and passion with building homes for families such as our own. We started our process in October and they handled all questions immediately when we called. We have been so "WOW'd" by our home and experience, our son is currently using Curwick Builders to have his home built and I have no doubt that he will have a similar experience as we did. We strongly suggest using this company.

Curwick home builders were supportive when the closing changed and worked with us and the moving company. Not everything was complete on move in day, but projects were eventually completed. I love our new home!!!! Thanks to Tom, McKenna, Janice, Penny and Jerry.

Everyone was great with Curwick Home Builders. Paul was the best to work with and made the whole process quite easy. There was never any pressure to do things we didn't want to do. They even helped during the loan pricess especially Paul. The level of craftsmanship is top notch as well as the finishing touches. Items that are an upgrade with other builders are standard with Curwick. If anyone is looking to get a wonderful home, stop by in Manteno, see the model homes and see Paul. You won't regret it!

First let me say we like our house. The process started in September and we didn’t close until May. They are not the most organized bunch. They have too much going on. Several times we had to tell multiple people the same thing because they don’t communicate with each other. My biggest complaint is that we have major cracks in our patio which they will not fix. No cracks in the other concrete work, only the patio.

Left my friends home unfinished on the outside when filling where needing to be filled. Damaged the sidewalk with the bobcat. Left areas not filled properly with soil. Huge clumps of rock and weeds left, making it look horrible. No care whatsoever.

Update: they addressed the issues after it being posted on social media to show the problems they caused. They came back to fix the issues. Still cautious of them.

My brother in law had his “dream” home built by this company. It’s been a nightmare. There’s been electrical issues, drywall issues, and now the air conditioner doesn’t work the first time he turns it on in a brand new home. This has been an ongoing issue. He moved in two months ago and it’s been nothing but problems.
