If I could offer a 0 star, I would definitely do that.
I went through a very rigorous process of application, very patiently sending them everything they needed just to get a glimpse of two apartments in Lemont IL. Never got the chance to see any of the listed apartments.
It was an old building, old apartments, $1275 per month for one bedroom and $1425 for 2 bedrooms, in the same building.
In the photos, the apartments looked good and clean though, the positioning was my main interest, close to my work.
They denied my application due to insufficient income, although it is at least 4 times the rent. What a joke 😂.
Definitely would not recommend, but no worries you will not be able to work with them. Not to mention my score is 720+, nothing on my record, but they just assumed from my taxes or I don’t know where, that I will not be able to pay my rent 😂
And my manager also confirmed through email my income, had a rent of $1300 for almost 3 years, all this kind of stuff. Anyway, don’t bother wasting 75 dollars on the application, they will not accept you.

I'm glad to see many other bad reviews of Claritas. 1 star is much too generous.

Their management team are a bunch of thieves and they don't reach out to you after you've applied for an apartment. I have paid them $75 on multiple occasions and never heard a thing. I earn the designated monthly income and I have a high credit score and still nothing.

It's truly their loss because they are overpriced and lazy as property managers. They don't deserve good, responsible tenants. I have seen the quality of the units and they are nowhere near what the cost should actually be.

I have lived in the Lincolnshire Apartments for 3 months now. Very nicely updated spaces. Spacious living with upgrades. Quiet neighborhood, which is hard to believe being right by 126 and downtown in walking distance but the big building next to 126 blocks all the sound. Was happy to find this spot when I did and even happier once I got moved in. Pet friendly and my dog loves it walking trails all over the place right around every corner. Owners are quick to respond if there are any questions or issues. Haven’t had any real issues just questions but the responses are usually within a few minutes or an hour tops. Hope this helps anyone looking.

When I lived in the romeoville apartments management you could hardly get a hold of and they never got rid of the wasp nest in the bush before I moved out but I only stayed with my bf at the time and the apartment was not cleaned before moving in either it was nasty and also no microwave at all and the oven was so nasty when you turned it on it would start to smoke so we had to pretty much burn it all out and air the entire place out it was nasty my ocd could handle it! I wish I had the pictures!

Management is fair and understanding, the tenants are kind, maintenance requests get resolved quickly, and the area is low in crime.

Currently there are only 3 washers and dryers in the building, so it can be hard to do laundry on weekends. The washers and dryers are paid for through an app on your phone called PayRange. I really dislike PayRange because you have to pay to load at least 10 dollars onto your account at a time, or you'll be charged an additional fee. Laundry is $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry. You can wash and dry a load of clothes for 3 dollars, but the app will charge you an extra .25¢ because you didn't spend 10 dollars. That .25¢/load adds up if you've lived here for a while or if you wash clothes regularly(aka a clean human).

If you have an AT&T phone, don't bundle and get AT&T internet here. AT&T service in this area only offers 25Mb/s which is around 3MB/s. Your download speed will be as slow as a turtle. Xfinity offers 1Gb/s download speeds which usually average out around 125MB/s. Sometimes with Xfinity you will see downloads speeds as fast as 500MB/s. Don't make the same mistake I made. Get Xfinity(this is not sponsored, I just despise slow internet in 2024).

Bunch of thieves! They won't allow you to view any properties until you pay the $75 application fee and are approved. Oh, and if you're denied, no discussion no refunds, no soup for you or apartment.

Upon requesting a month-to-month lease, I was ignored for almost 3 weeks. Finally a manager got back to me telling me a month-to-month would be an aditional 90$/ mo. after already increasing my rent. Upon my informing them of my leaving, I was greeted with a surprise carpet cleaning bill. Steer clear of this shady property holding company and look for a mom and pop owner. They'll upcharge you, knock your credit score and ignore your maintenence requests. Only gave 1 star so I could write this review. Spend your money elsewhere.
