Do not rent the house at 812 E. Washington St. In Belleville, it has foundation crack and the basement floods everytime it rains also the drive way belongs to the people who own the house next to it and they will show up and complain about you parking there. They lie to you about the property line.they are the worse to rent from. I rented for 9 years from them only to have my rent raised so high with no upgrades or repairs done They never do the repairs that need done. Claira the manager is pure evil. The basement flooded many times from the septic and a cracked foundation that they would never fixed. They stopped doing the yearly home inspections, stopped cleaning the gutters yearly. They pretty much stopped doing everything. Except raising my rent every other month. Please be aware do not rent from them. They are slum landlords. Also they find any reason to charge fees. There late fee is 120$

Absolutely terrible experience. Very slow to repair anything broke. Did not clean carpets or paint before I moved in. Would not return my deposit. Do not do business with this company

To those who don't take care of your rental, expect to not receive your deposit back.
S and S Realty are very professional. It is there job to check on each rental to make sure the upkeep is in tact.
All you have to do is keep it clean and presentable and you won't have a problem.
I just want to even out the bad comments and give a bit of advice to the future renters.

This company took over our lease one month before our lease was due up. They charged us over our deposit for damages, and a garage remote we never had. They created charges like..walk through fee? I'm sorry I need to pay you to do your job? Garage remote research fee, it never had a remote the crazy owner took it...cleaning fee..which the house was already cleaned..oh and replacing a carpet which already had a stain. Marks on the wall fee..which we have photos of, already there. Outside facet handle fee, but I sent them the emails of all the complaint we had to our original company..all these things were listed with our original company. Oh and replacing screens..again the original company knew about. And this company knew we had no hot water for two months that and made zero effort in repairing it. These people are scammers who will create reasons to keep your deposit, and if anything breaks good luck..

Since this will be the end of renting from them. Here's the truth. Clara is absolutely the rudest person in that building. S&S doesnt respond to emails but have confirmed on seeing them. Uncommunicative towards the tenants. They dont fix and stay up to date on housing needs. Me and my boyfriend went almost a full year without a window or A/C unit that they kept telling us they were going to put in, they kept dragging us along for almost a year on that. They have ant problems that I have brought up all I was told to do was get traps and spray. The heat furnishes is older so you have to turn this lever thing and when we had our inspection for our gas and we got red codes they called our landlord to have them come fix it and they never did!
