Mildred lied to me about being approved and lied to me about a dog being an issue. Then after calling her out, she said she never said those things. Then she came up with every excuse to try and cover herself up. Not a good experience at all.

Had a very unprofessional experience this week with heartland realty. I applied a week ago at a house they have listed online currently. The house has no photos up of it, so when applying I asked how long it would take to get photos. The receptionist mentioned that the tenants are moving out on the 11th and they should be able to have an answer on pictures this week. She also told me the app fee was $25 and if you have someone else applying too you can do a group app and it would only charge the app fee once. We actually had to pay the app fee twice because it doesn’t let you just group it like she mentioned. When I told her we were charged twice her response was “oh ok” 😂 I had to call them this week to check on our app status and ask when pictures would be up. I was told they have multiple applicants and don’t know when they’ll make a final decision and that the tenants aren’t moving out until the 18th so they don’t know when they can get photos either. I said I thought you said they were moving out on the 11th? Now it’s the 18th? She then denied ever telling me that. Okayyyyy. I said so you’re just taking peoples money for app fees and don’t know when you’ll have an answer or even pictures of the actual property you’re advertising. I said that’s messed up. She goes here’s what I’ll do I’ll have an answer for you by Thursday morning. So I wait 2 more days til Thursday to which she calls me to let me know that the tenants are no longer moving out anymore. I said ok so can you refund the app fee then, and she goes no that money doesn’t even go to us. And I said I don’t care who the money goes to, you’ve been dragging us around all week and now the house you’ve listed online and taken several peoples money for app fees is no longer available and I know for a fact they didn’t even process our application. She said she’d have to talk to her manager and get back to me. Extremely unprofessional and trying to keep our $50 for an app they never even processed

They have terrible service and are just out to get paid application fees. Then they will never try and find a place for you. And there receptionist is a joke she has ben telling me for weeks that they don't have anything available and then now there all rented out but they are still listed available. So if you are truly trying to find a place don't go through them because they will not help you.
