Chuck is exceptionally talented, professional and goes above and beyond. I asked him to do a full dream list plan for my front and back yard including some challenging tree coverage, lighting and lack of sun issues. He produced a very unique plan that both tackled the issues and was beautiful and appropriate for my traditional home. And although fine landscaping and quality materials are expensive, he has been gracious working with me to install sections of the overall project as they meet my budget going forward. And all of the team has been refreshingly professional and skilled during installations. Finally, I know Chuck truly cares about my project and guarantees his work. I recommend him with the utmost of enthusiasm!

Just amazing in every way ! Our project was a complete redo of the front and back beds of our home. We needed to conform with our HOA requirements of bed sizes etc. This worked beautifully. What was most impressive was effective communication throughout the process. The design was magnificent and they carefully addressed all our wishes of variety and color. All plantings ware beautiful, healthy specimens appropriate in size and spacing. Workers were meticulous is planting and cleanup.
What sets Marin/John apart however is their personal hands on attention. They don't just sell and turn it over to the workers. They are there! They frequently monitor and communicate. I found Martin John Company this past year after losing my amazing landscaping husband. They are a fantastic company and did a beautiful job rebuilding my brick front platform, steps, etc. I highly recommend that for any brickwork you need at home or business. They did the entire project in one day and were very professional.

Abysmal communication. In July, 2023 I put $750 down as a 50% deposit for a master landscape design. It's the last day of February, 2024 and I have received zero proactive outreach over the last 8 months. Not one phone call or email. I have called multiple times and when the receptionist answers she always says "I'll let Martin know to call you back." Martin never calls back. In November, she said "Martin hopes to have something for you by Thanksgiving." Nothing.

Avoid at all costs.

Edit: 3/1/24, getting the $750 refunded after contacting the owner on his cell phone, which I got from another one of his clients.
