(I won’t use names but I will say i don’t care how people take this, This is MINE experience of being in this school)

(I was new to this school in 10-12th grade, I went to a much bigger school k-9 so it was werid for me to come in a small town.)

High School need a new principal PERIOD. I recently graduated (2024) from this school. Today I went back to grab my senior year, yearbook. I am very close to one of the teacher at this school and I text her telling her “I am coming today to get my yearbook” (she is in charge with the yearbook) she text back and told me “ok just come by at 1 and I’ll tell the office that u will be coming”. Ok then when I arrive to the school I went straight to the office because why would I go in a school not tell the office that I am here to pick up my yearbook!?!?!? SO I told the office I was here to get my yearbook, the office lady and me was chatting for alittle bit because we were close too. Once I got done talking to her she gave my PERMISSION to go get my yearbook from the class. And while I was walking, happy to go see my teacher Mrs. Principal yelled with an attitude“wait wait wait what are u going?” I told her in a calm manner “going to Ms. Teacher room, I have PERMISSION” she yelled “don’t get snotted with me” and I was confused because i didn’t say much of nun, i told her “Don’t yell at me, we are both adults” so where going back and forth and she said “u can leave” I told her “ no why because I’m getting my yearbook and nobody told u I was coming?” And then she gonna threatened me saying “imma call the cops” I said “go ahead” and then ig Ms. teacher seen what was going on and one student I heard said “Mrs principal is doing to much” I’m tell Ms. teacher the story and I was saying “she can’t talk to people like that and I did nothing but tried to get my yearbook.” So once I got my yearbook I told Ms. teacher I’m sorry and I really wish I could talk to u alittle more. When I was leaving out (because Ms.teacher went to go talk to Mrs. Principal and SHE YELLED AT MS. TEACHER, she wasn’t involved with it and Mrs.Principal yelled at her) I seen Mrs. Principal talking to 2 teachers ( I won’t say they’re names) but one of them was smirking about the situation, she THEN YELLED out “YEA DONT COME BACK HERE” I turn around and said “be quiet, i didn’t say anything to u just now.” This school is very great but the PRINCIPAL there need to get retrained or something. I feel like this school is not a school. My past schools I went to NEVER DID treated anyone like this. It’s so more that happened in this school to me like it’s not even funny and ridiculous. They only people that helped and understood me was like 3 or 4 teachers here. And I really hope the Board do something about the school🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

The staff are sincerely interested in the school. I have had three daughters graduate from this school that all have gone on to success in their lives, education and careers from the foundation of academics, athletics and positive social experiences. Presently I find the teachers and administration very cooperative with the community and passionate about education and supporting diversity.

My miniature me has been attending Lena elementary since preschool (now in 3rd grade) and absolutely loves his environment. Always have had great teachers, very accommodating especially during the 2020 Pandemic. I give their staff big kudos for spearheading such a difficult year.

Teachers are great, the school has asbestos problems though. The principal is a very rude man who uses scare tactics to get what he wants. Would not recommend as a safe environment for learning
