If you are looking to purchase any kind of home from this company, make sure you think twice and do your research. I'm telling this from my own personal experience as a customer who purchased a home in this place. Everything our family experienced with dealing with this company has been very negative. Starting from the walk through.... We listed out all the things that needed to be touched up on paper with the staff of Moreton and had everything signed. They listed everything as completed, but when my wife and kids moved in from out of state a few weeks later, we realized a lot of items were never addressed. For example missing door hinges on the front door. Guess what they did to fix it? Install one, but just decide not to paint it to match the rest of the door. Kitchen cabinet touch up marker they used didn't even match the color of the cabinets. Hard wood flooring was chipping off in the corners. Dishwasher went out within the first week of moving in. We ended up having to call the manufacture directly because no one from Watt Communities was willing to help. Ordered a set of washer and dryer with the color "RED" picked out and promised to soon find out when we received wasn't even what we asked for or promised by the Staff. We were told the dead grass patch in backyard would be patched with some grass seeds. Never happend..... This is buying the so called "model home" they had in the development.
The first weekend we arrived from Houston, I got a text message from head of sales Bill telling me I wasn't allowed to parked anywhere in the front of my house due to it being a Fire Lane. In the meantime folowing that message I received. The next 3 months while they were compeleting contrusction in the development, everyday they had someone parked right in the front, blocking my front door walkway. What a joke..... seriously.
Turning off our main water line without any sort of notice in the morning where I couldn't take a shower before heading off to work. SMH.... Who wants to pick up handful of nails and screws in the middle of the street every week from contrusction workers leaving a mess and doing minimal cleanup work? I had to do that for the sake of all the residents passing by the only street to and from the community. Never in my life had I felt the need to leave a review this long, but I feel that it is necessary to let potential buyers know what your looking foward to dealing with when making a home purchase from this company and how they operate in terms of customer service. For most people making the commitment of purchasing a home is one of the biggest financial decisons in their lifetime. If you want to entrust a company like Watt Communities to deliver a "wow" experience through the entire process, don't count on it. They'll just leave you with an awful bitter taste in your mouth that can't be washed out.
