Veris is the worst management out there. Our building has taken a drastic turn for the worst after they came in. Also there is zero accountability on their part. Building has water shut offs, hot water issues, constant drilling, construction, appliances don’t work well and what not and Veris just goes about Business as usual and increases rent without any compensation or consideration.

We lived in a Veris building on the Hudson River and were blown away by the management team. You hear a lot of promises from management companies, but Veris delivers. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, the cleaning staff kept the place spotless, even cleaning the grill, and resident disturbances were handled promptly. While we choose to leave this apartment, we would gladly return, and recommend Veris properties to anyone.

Upon my lease renewal, Veris Residential raised my rent by 19%, which they said was due to market conditions. They did not attempt to negotiate beyond a very minor change in rate, thus forcing me and my children out of the apartment. The cost of moving was difficult to afford. After moving out, Veris listed the place for rent at the same rate I was paying, before the 19% increase. This bordered on discrimination and I do not recommend moving into one of their units if you want to feel secure with your living environment.

That’s the Veris promise…..

I have lived in a Veris building since July 2021 and have enjoyed living here developing a very nice community. HOWEVER, it certainly appears that Veris (in house Management have no control over rent increases) have no regard for existing tenants and are chasing the $ by passing though 20-30% rent increases ("as that is what the market says we should be charging"). Please note, it is not as if residents are not expecting a rent increase, they just want it to be reasonable.

It is almost as if they want to replicate the transient Manhattan model where they only want residents staying for a short time so they can increase the rents for new tenants.

In conclusion, i like the building, what it has to offer, and generally find the Leasing/Management office to be friendly, however, would be cautious to moving in here as Veris has minimal regard for you they just see the $$ signs.

Do not live in any of their properties. They increase rent with no rationale and are only interested in squeezing money out of you. They "promise" protected parking among other amenities however the garages are tiny and never work. The fire alarm in our building goes off almost every day. Community Management is not helpful whatsoever.

I stayed at 425 Washington boulevard. Yesterday was my last day and I feel so sad leaving here. The building felt like home and it was thanks to the lovely team here. Specially want to thank Hector, Mariano and Jose who felt like family and have been so amazing in sharing their love . Their work ethic is also phenomenal and on point

We have had really bad experiences with non inclusive dog policies, and it’s wonderful to see veris be a leader in an inclusive pet policies, specifically not excluding breeds.

We appreciate the people that work in our building too. So kind and accommodating. They really make our building feel like home. They do a great job hiring talented people.
