Was asked to take a behavior/personality test..Applied for a
Supervisor position and was called by hr and said property wanted to go in another direction..Ad is still up for position..They made a judgement on personality test..She arranged another interview for another property.. immediately upon walking in I was given very hard glances by two individuals who introduced themselves as Community manager and regional manager.. the community manager barely looked at me and when she did it was with contempt and disgust.. she was short.. she was rude..and she was irritating.. they both stared me up and down and judged me immediately based upon my appearance..you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see this.. Bad start.. I honestly believe they made their decision by taking one look at me.. the questions they asked were fluff superficial stupid and honestly designed to trip me up.. I was joined by video by someone who claimed to be a regional maintenance supervisor... his questions were of a little bit more substance however he seemed to be also uninterested.. I have almost 30 years experience probably more than over half the applicants that they're going to interview but they made their decision based upon my appearance and my age.. I received an email not even 20 minutes after I walked out the door that they were not interested..This is a place you definitely want to stay away from folks.. this is affordable housing so I logged a complaint with the state of California and with the Feds for possible discrimination.. I am also part of a Blog/group who shares information with others and I have informed other maintenance people about my discriminatory experience and I have put a shout out to investors as well..Absolute power corrupts absolutely...

We are pleased to have Valerie as Manager. She sent us the notice of the Fire systems / Sprinklers for the 10th of November. HOWEVER, Houston/Maintenance/whoever, RANG ALL THE ALARMS ON THE 9TH - REPEATEDLY. Everyone reacted, evacuating, putting pets in carriers, trying to find the source of smoke or fire... What did you think we would do?!! We were expecting testing on the 10th, so when a fire alarm repeatedly goes off on the 9th, we should react to a possible fire!!! Somebody ought to be FIRED! Not our Manager, the idiots who came a day early, and rang all our bells. If you set off an alarm in a school, you are jailed for a false alarm. These people should face penalties for false alarm, causing elderly residents distress. This is going on Google.

In 7 years of residency, I have witnessed the detioriation of my surroundings. The once sparkling breezeway railings are now always dusty. The hallway floors show layers of stains. The apartment linoleum easily rips and peels.

The website mentions a fitness center, computer center, reading area, and activities room. We no longer have access to any of these amenities. The otherwise locked door is only open during rent collection times. I so miss the community pot lucks.

This company needs to state their rental qualifications. It scores on an debit vs income ratio. There's an income and debt limit. It's not based on income twice the rent. Their qualifications works against working seniors. How is their an income limit and debt limit? USA Pick your poison! This is why seniors can't find housing. If you're on section 8 it's ok. They'll receive a tax break and guaranteed money.

Chris Crabtree who has been the maintenance technician superhero at my building is fast, efficient, competent and such a sweet soul. There's nothing he can't fix. I would recommend him anytime. My 5 star rating is solely for Mr. Crabtree.

When I first came to USA Properties I was somewhat impressed. It was summer and things were nice and green. As i have been here a year or so now my mind has changed. We had a staff(mgr) change as well as maintenance personnel. The property is under retrofit, all the bldgs have some kind of construction going on. This is not the senior property is thought I was getting into. The landscaping is terrible, lots of dead places( a dead tree in front of my apt just cut in half) very little greenery , seniors smoking off property at the front gates, sad to see them having to smoke in groups as people enter the property. This place is a mess( Creekside Village) in South Sacramento CA, lots of wild cats and other rodents this place seems to be a dangerous place with all the shoring up as if the bldgs may start to fall down.
