We purchased a two-stage furnace and air conditioning unit from Tritek Services (Rene), but from the very first day, the furnace has had problems. Our home consistently became uncomfortably cold. Our previous furnace heated the house quickly and maintained a stable temperature, but we chose to upgrade to a more energy-efficient system—expecting an improvement.

Rene and his team came out to investigate the issue, and that’s when the real problems surfaced. The thermostat required additional wiring to properly support the second stage of the furnace, but this wiring was never installed—and Rene never mentioned it. Instead, he installed a jumper, which caused the furnace to blow cold air and prevented it from functioning as a true two-stage system. This completely defeats the purpose of having a two-stage furnace.

We had two well-regarded local HVAC companies evaluate the system, and both confirmed the same problem: the missing wiring between the furnace and thermostat. We ended up hiring an independent company to complete the installation properly.

To make matters worse, the brand-new furnace was installed without a filter and ran for several weeks in that state, which is completely unacceptable. Thankfully, the furnace electronically displays whether it’s operating in low, high, or idle mode, so we can now confirm it’s functioning correctly.

We hired Tritek Plumbing for plumbing and HVAC work on our new addition, but I cannot recommend Rene Garcia, the owner. Here’s why:

Early in the project, Rene had a heated argument with an employee that lasted half a day, disrupting our work-from-home environment. He never apologized or explained the situation.

Other tradespeople on-site pointed out the poor quality of Rene's work. We eventually had to hire another plumber to redo and a portion of his work.

Rene knowingly left a leaking pipe in the wall at one point in the job, which we are now reporting to the contractors' board.

One of the AC units he installed developed major issues within a year, and Rene ignored all attempts to contact him for service even though we had spent almost 20k on this part of the service.

Rene is the absolute best and knows his stuff! He looks out for the customer needs, fair and does great quality work! No cutting corners and puts the extra time and effort to do the job right - even in 110 degree heat! After the job is done and each evening he cleans up and looks even better from when he starts. Can’t say enough good things, we have used him for several different jobs and each time we have been more than pleased! The AC systems are working better than ever and I can honestly say it is beyond comfortable! We will continue to use him for all our future needs! Highly recommend!

Renee and his son Jr were amazing!! They installed a tankless water heater, very professional and knowledgeable. Prior to the installation, they explained how everything works and what they were going to do!! Had to call Rene and team back to the house through no fault of theirs. We tried our best to keep the unit working but at some point you need to call it quits. The AC unit needed to be put out of its misery and ours. Rene and team providing us with options and in the end we felt getting a new unit was the way to go. Rene was responsive in getting us a new unit and getting it installed promptly. Given the temperature outside we were so grateful. His team is fast, professional, alway courteous, and respectful. They do a great job cleaning up as well which I can't say for other services I have used. I would give them additional stars if it was an option.

Rene and his team are great!!! Twice they have helped me out in a pitch, fitting me into an already tight schedule and I am so very thankful. He saved my unit and me a lot of monies and his rates are very reasonable. Rene spend as much time as I needed to understand what his team was doing and why. So very glad I went with him. I would actually given him and his team 6 stars if I could. It's very obvious that he takes a lot of pride in his company and work.

Rene is the best! He is honest, reliable, efficient, quick to come out and find the problem and get it fixed, affordable, etc. He will always be our go to guy for our AC. 10/10 recommend him and his team.

Had a capacitor go out on my AC on one of the hottest days of the year (120°); House got up to 91° at about 4PM in the afternoon. Got on the phone to look for help. Rene at TriTek was quick to return my call and was able to schedule to come out first thing next morning (7AM ish). He and his team quickly identified the problem and corrected the issue. AC back in service in minutes. Since they were there had them do the coil wash and check the unit. Great guys. Thanks Rene and team great job.
