Our family has experienced the best apartment experience at The Villages. The staff and management especially have been very kind and professional. They offered us the help we needed with the application process and continued to follow up on our move-in. We are now settled in and have loved this community! We enjoy walking outside, and visiting the pool, tennis courts, and gym!! We are happy to have found these apartment homes! We hope to stay here for a long time, and we highly recommend The Villages to anyone looking to rent in this great area of Santa Rosa 🙂

I looked at a lot of communities when deciding to relocate to Santa Rosa. After my second weekend trip, I found The Villages. I was sold after a simple drive through the community. It is located in a convenient area and has absolutely gorgeous grounds. The community amenities are amazing and the apartment home is beautifully upgraded. Coming from an older complex with a "sometimes working" laundry room, I am in love with my extra large capacity washer and dryer! Peaceful surroundings, with a ton of visitor parking. There is even a little shopping center within walking distance and a Walgreens super close.

Hot tubs are always closed! They have an additional dead bolt, 2 locks!! Just unnecessary at this point! And They just “forget” to open the locks all the time in my experience. I asked today if they can remember to keep them unlocked for our convenience, and the manager had the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered! He told me he was closed at 5, it was 5:05, I asked if he could help anyway since he was there and they would be closed tomorrow and with the holiday I really wanted to ensure it would be open.....wow had no idea how RUDE would respond! I think if someone rents here they should know everything because if I knew this would be the kind of atmosphere I would be living in I would of chose a better place, one with a respectful staff .

The rent is way too high for the low quality space and sketchy neighborhood. The appliances are outdated and don't work half the time. You can't walk out on the balcony without getting splinters from the outdated wood planks or worrying about the rusty nails that are sticking up. The fan in the bathroom is really loud and sounds like a velociraptor. I can even tell when my neighbors turn on their fans it's that bad. Also not an ideal place to raise kids either because it's not a great area. The security is worthless because they haven't even noticed the homeless man sleeping out of his van on the road next to the apartments. Makes me nervous that a transient sex offenders could be right outside my building at night. There isn't any good lighting in the place. For $1900/month for a 600 sq ft 1 bedroom one would expect a lot more. Overhead lighting, washer and dryer, microwave, crown molding, appliances that were made in this century are all things that one would hope to find in such an expensive place.
The office hours are difficult for commuters because we often can't make it in to pay rent or request maintenance before they close. Don't even get me started on the cat lady who feeds stray cats out of the trunk of her car every night. I don't even know if she lives in the apartment complex. Watch out for the two skunks who live by the river nearby. They tend to come out and wander the parking lot at night.

Everything with The Villages has been very good for the most part except their maintenance staff member Carlos Menjivar absolutely hating my guts like he does as an evident actual fact based on how he has been so upset with me lately that I just recently that I figure that out about him all because of how he was relying so heavily on his hope that I would never ever figure that out about him.
