7 years ago, me and my wife gave a positive review of these apartments. Now 7 years later, things have changed. There's a lot I have to say here so I'm going to need to break this down in different paragraphs so I can go in full detail. It's a long read but very important for anyone to read that is interested in living in these apartments.

When we had first moved here, we loved our time here. We didn't have too many crazy experiences even though the apartments themselves are very old and I felt they should've been more updated and not have old floors and old appliances such as the refrigerator and stove (I used to live here when I was a child back when they were named The Village Green Apartments). Aside from that, a lot had changed since we first moved in 2018. This apartment complex since then has had 3 different managers in 7 years we have lived here and the second one, Sandy I already had a problem with.

I didn't like her attitude and a lot of times I felt she was targeting us when it came to stuff with false noise complaints being made on us but no follow up when it came to our complaints.

Now with the current leasing manager, Theresa, I will say this. Shes nice a lot of times but when it comes to handling situations with tenants, she can be ridiculous. The same thing I wrote here about Sandy, I feel very similar about Theresa. We had complaints back and forth going on between us and our downstairs neighbor Eleanor and her girlfriend Miya

A lot of the complaints on us were false. I get that it's a he say she say type of thing but none of our complaints were listened to when we had complaints but their complaints were always taken seriously. Soon as they complain, there goes a phone call from Theresa telling us "No matter who is causing the noise, it needs to stop and it will be a cease and desist and you don't need that on your record."

Mind you, this is being said after I was making it clear we weren't causing the noise and it may have been coming from our daughter who is only 2 years old. After that, the conversation should've ended in that , "Yeah a child can cause noise. We understand." But no it's like she didn't care if we had a child which is nuts. Kids make noise and we can't control that unless we are being expected to tie our child down so she cant move, smh.

She then tells me this conversation is over. Smh really? Ya know just for that, I don't recommend anyone who has children shall move into these apartments especially if its apartment G8 because you may have a neighbor upstairs or downstairs from you that will put false noise complaints on you and these people won't listen to you at all. G7 is where the neighbor I was talking about lives in.

We tried to defuse the situation by asking to be moved to another apartment. We kept being told there isnt another apartment available or being told flat out from the leasing specialist David that we will not be moved to another apartment because we were violating our lease because we didn't want the inspector to come into our apartment (which we had reasons why).

Smh we still paid rent so we should've been granted that. Never was late ever on our rent. We always paid on time and that's how we get treated. Man I'll tell you, whoever moves in Apartment G8, I hope they never have to endure what we went through. It felt like we were walking on eggshells and honestly, I feel like I'm being too generous with a 2 star rating.

It really should be 0 stars

I understand that about the inspector but we allowed the inspector to come in so that shouldnt have been a problem with getting us into another apartment. I even had stated multiple times that I had proof and I was still disregarded. I really doubt that you guys took our complaints seriously because you guys had threatened to send cease and desist letters to us and at one point, you guys did. Hell, you guys even had threatened to end our lease. How is that a way to handle things? I even told you guys that they had threatened our child. Why wasn't anything done about that?

I have been living here for 4 years and never had a problem. The rental office manager Theresa is a very sweet, helpful and professional woman. She is always very helpful whenever I call. Eddie from the maintenance crew is very helpful and nice. Anything I need he is there to fix it or help. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. The apartments are very roomy for the price. I been waiting for a two bedroom but no one leaves here very often so I am still waiting.

My experience at The Villages was great—Sandy (the leasing manager) was so helpful and friendly and the maintenance staff were always quick to help out if there was an issue! It was quiet and safe and in the middle of a family-friendly neighborhood. I agree with other reviews that you can hear every move your upstairs neighbors make but other than that would definitely recommend!

I have live here almost 2 years and disagree with Mr. Mitchell's review. I love the quiet area and the new management company has been doing so many improvements to the apartments and the property. Based on quality and price these apartments were the best deal I have found in the area. The staff here is great and always willing to help! They have had community events, such as 'toys for tots', food drive for the hungry, holiday parties, yard sales and I can't wait for Chili day!

I understand that when you live in an apartment, you will hear noise upstairs, but every single step my neighbor takes i here loud and clear!!! The walls creek so loud and i can hear my neighbors phone conversations. Overall nice community but definitively wouldn't recommended anyone living downstairs here. The maintenance staff is excellent.

Lived here for two years. Rent (one bedroom) started in the 700s and went up to almost 900 after two years (not sure why). The apartment was subpar..cracks in the walls, floors uneven. I had water come through my kitchen light after something happened upstairs..maintenance came and were pretty nonchalant about it. If you live on the first floor, be prepared to hear every movement from your upstairs neighbors. For the condition and location, I'm not sure why these apartments are going up in price. The rise in price was definitely a contributing factor for leaving.

i love it here. very responsive maintainence and staff.
EDIT: ^ this was made several months ago i have since changed my rating from a 5 star to a 1 star. Last night while i was out of my unit there was a carbonmonoxide leak in my apartment. I was given no notification that this had occurred until over 10 hours later after i had already returned and slept in my bed. When i asked the management about what had happened they told me that my downstairs neighbor had a smoke alarm going off and maintenance took it because they thought it was defective they were advised by maintenance to call the fire department. The maintenance staff did not assess the situation and call emergency services. When asked about this i was told it was "just procedure" and under the same circumstances the people in management would have liked to have been notified. I am honestly glad i am not renewing my lease and can't get out soon enough.

Rent is affordable. I've been a resident for 5 years. When maintenance is required they are prompt in responding. This complex is a decent place to call home
