I’ve been living here for the past five years. Overall, the building, amenities, and maintenance have been great. Unfortunately, for the last three years, we’ve been dealing with an ongoing noise issue from the upstairs neighbor. They frequently stomp, exercise at all hours, and play loud music—especially late at night—which has seriously affected our sleep and peace of mind.

We’ve reported the issue to management multiple times. Each time, the noise stops briefly, only to return—often worse than before. While management has offered to transfer us to another unit, it would come with a fee. They also offered to release us from the lease without a lease-break fee, but we’d still be responsible for rent until the unit is re-leased, which could take an unknown amount of time.

We were told twice that a “notice to quit” would be sent to the upstairs neighbor, but it was never actually delivered. At this point, it feels like the tenant may have a personal relationship with management, as we’ve seen little follow-through or accountability.

We also reached out to corporate, but unfortunately have not received any meaningful resolution or support. It’s disappointing that after being good tenants for five years, we’ve had to live with this unresolved issue for so long.

I’ll update this review if the situation is resolved or if there’s any meaningful improvement.

The building itself is beautiful and affordable, however the tour wasn’t that great. It almost seemed like we were an inconvenience despite making an appointment days in advance.

The surrounding area also has a few great businesses and transit to New York is close enough.

We just moved in this week! Zamona the Property Manager was really helpful, accommodating, and overall just amazing! She is very friendly and makes The Mint feel like home! The apartment is clean, new, and spacious. The amenities are incredible and endless. I’m loving my new home!

My fiancé and I just moved in and we are already impressed with The Mint! We love the apartment and how new everything feels. The amenities are also amazing, I didn’t realize that they have monthly events, which was a delightful surprise. We had one problem with our bathroom that was fixed very quickly, so maintenance is great as well.

We also love the walkability of this town, there are a lot of places to eat and go to.

Overall we are very happy to have moved into The Mint!

Honestly still living here sadly. The place went to downhill since the building was sold in April 2024. Fire alarms going off about once a month and the door alarms go off about once a week. Multiple times a day a dog and his owner go screaming down the hallway and this is not addressed. Dog poop in elevator. Zero consequences for bad resident behavior. I’ve been crating our dog at my parents because I do not trust this place one bit. No onsite or emergency maintenance (this was the case in the past) and I miss old management . One person from prior crew is still there but doing the job of 2 and is obviously going to relentlessly defend the company that still employs her. Not all worth the price . Fake luxury at its finest. Avoid.

I’m not sure what happened to my original review. I don’t see it anymore. But I’m happy to rewrite it and update it a bit now that I’ve been here a full year.

I truly love being at The Mint. The amenities are wonderful and carefully maintained, and the units themselves are high quality and well-designed. Also, the location is smack dab in the middle of Rahway, within easy walking distance of the train station.

They recently came under new ownership, so I was a bit nervous about what changes might come from that, but everything has continued to be great as usual. And, honestly, that’s because we still have Zamona as our Leasing Manager. She’s absolutely fantastic and takes great care of the tenants and their needs. Maintenance at this complex is also absolutely phenomenal. When I’ve had to put in a ticket (which is rare), they’ve been prompt and efficient in addressing it.

I encourage everyone to make an appointment to stop by if you are thinking of setting roots down in Rahway. This is truly the place to be.

Zamona Khan is the best Operations Manager and made moving from California within a two week span feel effortless. Friendly, understanding, caring, quick responses, and overall a pleasure to correspond with. Mary and all other building staff as well! The Mint building is clean and maintained on a regular basis from the trash room to the gym. It's a safe, quiet environment with friendly neighbors. Apartments and amenities are exactly as pictured and described. While I cannot always attend, I love the regularly hosted events (with snacks/beverages) for all residents (Christmas, New Years. Valentine's Day, March Madness, etc.) I appreciate the email notifications regarding scheduled maintenance, road closures, holiday office hours, and so on. This location is perfect! Just a few minutes to walk to the United States Post Office, NJ Transit train station, salons, brewery, liquor store, and plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Highly recommend to anyone looking for their next place to call home.
