I live in the Continental for many many years I will show you it was not a good experience only the devil would like to live there. It is the Devil's Playground. The lobby is dirty and filthy with stains all over the carpets with kids running around in the lobby spilling things and food all over the rug filled in the hallway. Also a lot of the tenants are prejudiced the blacks against the White. Gunshots at night outside the building a young woman got killed a few months ago. I would not recommend anybody to live there go take your business someplace else. There were also a lot of people getting evicted. Most of the tenants are crazy and you would not want to deal with them I've been there for over 8 years and hardly made one friend. As I said it is the Devil's Playground. All they would do is sit in the lobby and talk behind people's backs and gossip. I would rather be in my own apartment and not associate with anybody other than God. There have been many people managing the office and it seems that management keeps getting worse. The building is so dirty and filthy you don't even want to invite anybody over to come visit. They hang around the front of the building and make it hard for you to get in they expect you to walk around them. Enclosing do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Satan and his angels live there very few godly people live in that building. Goodbye for now

Not the nicest of apartments. I had to do some maintenance work here and most of the tennants are nice, but all of them are crazy. Patricia at the front desk was quite unhelpful, but that didn't really matter to me. What matters to me is all the stains and spills and dirt and trash in every hallway and staircase.

Barely affordable rent upwards of 50% or more of your monthly salary, even though this is a "low income community". Hallway floors and walls were fixed and repaired within the last year and look much nicer, but cleaning is not kept up with except for mopping the entryways. Laundry rooms are disgusting and the machines are old and worn down and needed to be replaced years ago, but management only does "maintenance" on them twice a year at most.

There used to be a security guard posted in the lobby, and should be again, because people are constantly breaking the door locks and letting randoms loiter around in the driveway out front while they smoke weed or head upstairs to buy drugs/etc from residents. Residents are mostly nice but very disrespectful of common areas: children play in the halls screaming and riding bikes unattended by parents, despite a park across the street. People allow their large dogs to piss and poop all over the walkways between the building and the parking lot, and never pick it up, so it constantly smells like dog piss outside. Stairwells are never cleaned and smell like human piss, and a bunch of teenagers graffiti'd slurs and nonsense all over the walls a few weeks ago, hilariously a day before management sent out a note to all residents about how much they care about maintenance and cleanliness of the building.

The one benefit of the place is how close it is to downtown and the mall, but extremely far away from any train stations.

It's a shame that this place has fallen so badly. It wasn't supposed to be like this. It's really unfortunate. People should not fear, or be uncomfortable where they reside and pay rent. The Owner and Management need to do better. Have pride in the property. New rugs and/or floors. Clean up the trash, dirt, grime, etc. Be nicer, polite that's your job. We all have bad days but it's not your job to show that to the tenant's or anyone else. The fixing of the problems is with management so do something. Your rating are the worst. Yet families who can't afford these high ridiculous prices may have no choice but to settle because your affordable, you fit their budget or they receive Section 8. It's sad because you gladly take their money but the place is a mess. I've been in your apartments when they were first built and recently and the drastic change is unbelievable to say the least. So I do know what it can be. I also know people who live there. So I would say I'm speaking from experience. I realize it may not be easy but for the sake of the community and families who reside there it's important that you do better. Also those fake messages you answered these comments with please don't insult me with that nonsense because when you care about your tenants and the comments that people write here you would respond back with real comments not prerecorded ones. I'd rather you not comment at all.

When I started to do app process management was nice at first an then cuz I asked them a couple questions an they weren't really answering them. When they kinda did an didnt. They took my words an twisted them around an they cancelled my app an told me I could apply again. After that nope that I wont. All I wanted to do b4 I put money down was try an view an apt or least send pics so I could get a view of what they looked like. An when I asked w what specific things were needed. Between the combination of the 2 things it seemed to me they werent understanding what I was saying an I said to them if you can't answer my questions I might just say never mind an I will walk away. They took my words an twisted them an that when they cancelled my app an told me reapply. First of all I went thru alot to get what i got done done. They should of called me to talk it out then do what they did. That stuff happened today with the last part w app an what not. Never again. I would contact corporate but I think the review on here is good enough for me.

I love my apt and love my neighbors. The convenience of having a choice of public transportation to Newark & NYC. I also like being close to the shore. A nice spot if you're into arts and culture... although not NYC, you can find plenty to do within walking distance. Most of all, I love the diversity of the neighborhood and sense of community.

On the very first day i moved here my toilet flooded ! It’s been a year and 5 months my toilet still has not been fixed. My apartment flooded three times and it’s been mold and my ceiling falling and I’ve put in multiple work orders emails and reached out to the county yet my issue is still not fixed. Why pay rent ?
