Do not stay here - owner is rude & will not consider any booking issues experienced online. When I went to book the room for 4, the confirmation I received was for 3 people. obviously there was a glitch in the system. I tried explaining that to the owner, she was so rude & refused to refund me. It is not like they were going to go bankrupt I am sure they were sold out that week. $1350 they took from me and Discover will not fight to get the refund. I am a hard working Jersey Girl & now I have to work nights to pay this off. I wrote to BBB & state of NJ. Next is the NJ senators & congressmen. I am not giving up without a fight. Jersey Girls never backs down.

I have never written a review on any hotel or vacation spot but this hotel was so bad that I had to. We stayed 2 nights for a wedding weekend. The room didn't appear the cleanest to begin with and I felt uneasy right away. We could see light coming through the outside by the AC so it clearly wasn't sealed very well and our room was extremely humid the entire weekend. The worst part of this hotel was that I noticed bed bug bites after our stay. I had never experienced bed bugs before and it is absolutely disgusting to think about. I am so thankful that the bed bugs didn't travel home with us. I reached out to the hotel to ask for some form of compensation, especially given the hotel was overpriced and had hidden resort fees. They never responded.||Stay away from this hotel. It is overpriced, unclean, and has a bed bug issue.

This hotel blew my expectations out of the park. The rooms were clean and huge! Loved how it had a kitchen area too. The location couldn’t be more perfect- you can get to either side of the island. Definitely will stay here again.

Unfortunately I will never have the chance to experience this hotel since they refuse to work out an internet issue when I tried booking a room for 4 adults. I thought I booked a room with 4 adults, but the confirmation came back for 3. Since I used my AAA discount I had to contact AAA. They contacted the hotel and then told me the hotel could only accommodate 3. I had to cancel the reservation, and now the hotel refuses to refund me for the internet error. I have all documents to prove it and BBB is involved now. I also contacted 7 on your side because I will not be bullied.

9/25/24 - The reservation was cancel 15 minutes after I received the incorrect confirmation for 3 adults when the booking was supposed to be for 4 adults. How can that be considered a no show, if the reservation was cancel the same day it was booked. Don't try to make me look like the bad guy. If you want good reviews and have satisfied customers, then you should give me a refund. That will make you the better person.

10/22/24 - I put my complaint in with the Better Business Bureau & these people from this hotel are such liars! Unbelievable! It is not like they were in desperate need for bookings, the cancellation was immediately done because of the computer error and the miscommunication between AAA and the hotel. I deserve to be refunded.

3/10/25 - Still fighting this. Be careful on booking anything with these nasty people.

You did book a room with two queen beds in it to accommodate four people. As you did not show up for your reservation we did charge a no show fee which was the deposit taken initially as stated in our policy for guest who do not show up for their reservation. The front desk did let you know all the same information.||Again, I apologize we did not meet your expectations but we are just following policy.||Thanks!||This is my reply:|The reservation was cancel 15 minutes after I received the incorrect confirmation for 3 adults when the booking was supposed to be for 4 adults. We stayed at this hotel as a last minute family trip overnight. The reviews online were decent so we gave it a try. My husband called and book it in the phone. I was pleased with the location to the beach. Our complaint is with the staff and the facility. The staff were not helpful. The manager was not on sight and the younger staff members were clueless. I brought issues to the front desk ( broken fan and light) and the staff members just said “okay”. No offer to fix what was broken in the room. I would have stayed longer the next day but i got frustrated after bringing the issues to the front desk so we left early the next day to go to another beach. I asked for someone to call me and she did not call till the next day. The manager called and dismissed my concerns basically saying it I didn’t complain early enough in the stay. Honestly I should’ve had to complain not am I the try of person to do so. For the overly expensive price there shouldn’t be anything broken in the room and when the issue was brought to staff it should not be dismissed. I wouldn’t stay her again.

Avoid This Hotel: Terrible Experience and Incompetent Management

We rented this location for a one-night getaway, and it was a complete disaster. The initial charm of the entrance is quickly overshadowed by filthy stairs, rugs, and hallways that look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. The bedroom seemed clean at first glance, but the bathroom was another story—clearly neglected with hair from previous guests. It was absolutely disgusting.

Don’t be fooled by the rooftop pictures; the view is nothing special and the experience was far from relaxing. The game area was a joke with malfunctioning equipment, and the room was plagued with several issues that didn’t work properly.

When we reported these problems to Shannon, one of the so-called "top managers," she was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of addressing our concerns, she rudely suggested we should have reported the issues earlier—even though it was 2 am and we didn’t want to disturb our children. Her lack of care and poor attitude were shocking and unprofessional.

For $400 a night, everything should have been in working order, and it clearly wasn’t. Shannon’s dismissive attitude and the hotel’s failures are unacceptable. The only redeeming quality of this place is its location, but that's not nearly enough to make up for the poor management and overall lack of cleanliness and maintenance.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR: Look elsewhere before considering this hotel. The website might look appealing, but the reality is far from it.

I wish I had read the 2020 reviews before staying here. The initial impression of the lobby is impressive, but unfortunately, it seems like the focus ends there. The condition of the bedrooms left much to be desired.||Our experience was further marred by Manager Shannon, who was unhelpful and dismissive when we raised concerns. When we reported issues such as the uncleanliness of the bathroom and malfunctioning appliances, Shannon’s response was not only unprofessional but also made us feel blamed and unheard.||Management should consider finding better ways to handle customer complaints and ensure their staff is trained to address concerns with professionalism and empathy. As it stands, this experience has left us uneasy about staying here again in the future.||There are far nicer places to stay around. DO NOT COME HERE
