After one year and a few months in my place; this my follow up review. Everything has gone very well. I have had two repair requests and both were handled in less than 24 hours. Property is clean and the washer & dryer both work well. They give us timely notice if there is a needed repair for the building. There are some bad reviews but honestly I am just a regular tenant and have not experienced what others have said. So here I am a year later and enjoying a nice Mid Century Modern unit. TDI Properties are not slumlords; slumlords dont repair things. My sink was clogged and the service tech was dispatched on the same day. Apartment living is never perfect; people do things to damage property and create problems. Sometimes it is a tenant and sometimes it is a random who accesses buildings. I am not making excuses for TDI. However my experience has been good and using the repair portal has worked for me. I wanted to share my update because it is very hard to find housing in Los Angeles and it has risks because of all the rental scams. I have been treated with respect and all the paperwork we signed for my lease was and is legit. They have a office so it is not some web only " company ".
That is very important in today's real estate market. I hope others can get things resolved because they have been very good with my unit and repair requests. Also both service men were very nice, punctual, and mastered the tasks. Good luck for those searching! I just wanted to share my experience after a year. Pix are from my unit and not a staged model. Slum lords! There's mold in my house that was reported and hasn't been fixed, and they made it seem like I canceled the maintenance to come in and check it why would I cancel if I have toxic mold in my house doesn't make sense. I have respiratory problems and this is making it worse. Building is falling apart I have to sweep up brick dust off the floor everyday.

Thus is my first place since moving to California, coming from Ohio. The manager addresses all needs and issues. There's effort there to keep it clean on the premises, the laundry room could use more of this though. The tenants are pretty decent too.

TDI Properties will make your living experience a real life nightmare that you wish you could wake up from!!

This is especially true of you are of African American decent. Yes, some of the employees discriminate. These people will treat you as if you have no value, as if you are incompetent and they care very little about your well-being.

Their buildings have ROACH INFESTATIONS that they do little to nothing to manage. I had to purchase so much roach stuff, I drove myself insane cleaning and keeping my unit spotless but it didn’t matter because the buildings are simply infested. There’s little you can do especially when these old buildings have cracks that need to be repaired.

- Be prepared to feel unsafe in your own home as many of their tenants have drug addictions and mental disorders.

You can usually spot a TDI Property by how run-down, out of date and unkept the buildings look from the outside. Broken windows, faulty building structures, graffiti on and nearby the buildings.

Thank God I was recently released from my lease with them. I had countless unsettling experiences with a supervisor named Isaac. He was unhelpful and dishonest.

I know sometimes people are desperate for housing but you can do far better. Take it from someone who chose out of desperation. I regret it.

These people are not kind and they do not care about you. They themselves rarely even come around the properties they manage because they know these areas are of the worst in LA.

DO NOT MOVE INTO A TDI PROPERTIES BUILDING. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Horrible I can't wait to move, Sandra is messy and the whole company is unprofessional and they don't care about what you are your kids is going through as long as they get their rent payments that's all that matters to them, so a update Sandra text me some real nasty text messages she have a bad attitude and needs to be fired or at least she needs to step down as manger she doesn't like doing her job, DO NOT RENT FOR THEM NOW THIER TRYING TO KEEP MY DEPOSIT FOR SOMETHING ON SECTION 8 END TALKING ABOUT I HAD A BALANCE WHEN I MOVED OUT I ALWAYS PAID MY PORTION OF RENT ON TIME AND SECTION 8 STOPPED PAYING BECAUSE THEY FAILED MULTIPLE INSPECTIONS AND DIDNT WANNA FIX ANYTHING NOW THEIR TRYING TO PUT IT ON ME AND MIND YOU THE CITY CAME OUT AND FAILED THEM 3 TIMES I HAVE ALL MY PROOF

Tdi bought the property I use to live in and took over June 1 2023 myself and other tenants didn't meet anyone till June 7 it was a horrible experience from the get go I moved out 4 1/2 with my section 8 voucher I gave up my apartment and was paid to leave a relocation fee I suggest anyone reading these reviews don't rent from TDI Properties what so ever but I'll say Kay Perez will work with you but just make sure you and Ms Kay Perez are on the same page everyone else that works in TDI Properties don't bother dealing with them a fellow tenant that lived in the building I left had issues with maintenance from the prior landlord and section 8 kept telling the prior landlord to fix the issues never did wound up selling the property to TDI Properties it was a back and fourth thing not just with this specific tenant needing maintenance done in his apartment but all tenants included this tenant couldn't handle waiting anymore so he went to the roof of the apartment building and jumped off and committed suicide so do not trust tdi at all they want your rent every month and take forever to respond to maintenance requests or not at all I'm just very glad I do not have to deal with TDI Properties anymore or the apartment building I lived in for 9 years at this point I don't care if anyone from TDI Properties reads these reviews because other people have posted reviews the bad experiences they have had with this company

TDI has a Super nice staff and has made my rental experience to be very nice. The management was on time for my showing and the unit is very nice and bright. All paperwork was handled well and the website works great for any neeeded reference to lease or maintanence requests. Property is nice and clean. All around Kay and the office staff has made my application and residence a reality! Super personable and courteous.
