The leasing office worked hard to help us get moved in before the holidays and was very pleasant throughout the process. We've had a few unexpected maintenance issues already but they were resolved quickly. We feel good about our choice to live at Tara Hills and it seems like the staff takes their jobs very seriously and are very responsive, which is a drastic improvement over the last place we lived. The units themselves are very nice and we especially love the walk-in closet!

Be very aware they will hit you with over $110 worth of side services per month. I felt like I was trying to buy a car then got slapped with the side sticker add on nonsense. Be aware before you waste you app fee.

I moved out in October so i’ve had time to really sit and think about this review
1. You pay monthly for trash valet and they simply do not collect your trash and then management will blame you? yet i’m the one paying for a service and not being serviced? The neighbors and i would laugh about how ridiculous it was, makes the whole place smell like trash
2. The hallways are disgusting, i would personally vacuum, replace lights, sweep the stairs and take care of my side of the street but they say they get them professionally cleaned THEY DO NOT it is simply up to you and your neighbors
3. When i first moved in i was not given a mail key, went 2 months without one and went to the post office with my lease and paid 35$ for one, never reimbursed for it and in fact when i left they wanted the key! Over my dead body! i told them they could have it for 35$ and they told me to keep it LMFAO
4. The only good thing they did was fire or maybe he quit but there was a guy who would ride a golf cart around and lowkey stalk me, follow me into my hallway, follow me into the laundry room, etc everytime i would turn around there he was pretending to do something or just gawking
5. The laundry rooms are disgusting!!! I only washed my clothes there a handful of times bc of how bad the machines smell and fear of being followed! someone literally was pissing in the sink! so if you’re looking for the scent of mildew and urine that’s the place for you!
6. Management is 100% useless, i honestly think what they do in 1 year i could get done in a week especially with how much they’re charging and none of that money is going back into the apartments!!!!!!!!
7. YOU PAY for pest control, another scam, not once did i see anyone taking care of anything or have my apartment sprayed!
8. The pool is falling apart, also on top of how clueless management is, i was at the pool once and walked back to my apt to use the bathroom bc i will not touch whatever excuse they call a bathroom at the pool, when i got back the manager was smoking a cigarette waiting to yell at me about how i can’t leave kids unattended, I DONT HAVE KIDS, mom was literally in the corner watching them, but she was too busy smoking and looking for a problem to use her eyes to access what was actually happening, mom just waved at her like um hello im right here…. THE MANAGER ALSO LIVES AT THE APARTMENTS
9. When i needed my garbage disposal fixed they literally removed it… pretty sure it’s listed the apt comes with one so i should get rent cut a little right? anyway they replaced it with a sink that wasn’t even attached at the bottom, after a week i realized water was everywhere and it wasn’t even attached !!!!!!!!!!

ON TOP OF ME LITERALLY CLEANING THIS PLACE, HALLWAYS, LAUNDRY ROOM, MAINTENANCE, OF COURSE I LEFT MY APT BETTER THAN I FOUND IT (Stale smoke smell, disgusting cabinets) i was charged 500$ when i moved out, which i did not pay and has not showed up in collections yet, IF YOURE CHARGED DO NOT PAY SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

When it was time to renew or leave, the rates were higher for me to stay, but when i went on the site it would’ve been cheaper for me to rent a 2 bed in the apartments than to renew my lease for my 1 bed!!!! Considering i would’ve had to move either to another building or altogether somewhere new it was a no brainer that i was never renewing my lease or starting a new one in a new apartment and going through another year of the torture, bc honestly the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t and i never would’ve trusted the new apartment bc of how well i knew my building so now i rent a house in knoxville and guess what NO SECRET FEES!

My husband and I hadn’t been sick since 2019, we never even got sick during Covid times. We moved here in September and have had several doctor visits for illnesses in September, October, November, December, and just got over Norovirus this month of January. Since living here, we haven’t had a full 24 hours without seeing a cockroach. Between pest control visits, the office said to place work orders if we’d like their maintenance crew to spray our unit. We placed a work order yesterday after I was in the middle of cooking for my toddler when a German cockroach crawled in and out of my stove. Today, they cancelled the work order without an explanation. If the cockroaches aren’t spreading disease, I’m convinced there’s black mold somewhere in the building causing our constant ill health. As a stay at home mom, I spend majority of my time cleaning & disinfecting our home. It’s impossible to keep up with the roach problem. When we initially discussed the roach infestation with the office, they suggested we use a repellent gel (which has made no difference) and pay for our own pest control service to spray the exterior of the building which would be a waste of money for us. We were never notified of the pest issues prior to moving in, though they clearly knew it was prevalent in our building. They’ve also ignored our need for a living room window lock as we are on the bottom floor. I’m not even going to include our stressful mailbox situation, shower faucet knobs that are extremely difficult to turn, or used dishwasher that they claimed to be brand new (there were dirty dishes in it when we moved in). If they won’t respond to work orders but seem to acknowledge Google reviews, I feel this is my only option to get some kind of treatment between biweekly pest control services.

The maintenance team at Tara hills Jason L and Heather B went above and beyond to fix the swings at the kids park. So all our kids could enjoy them they always answer any questions I have and always are there with helping hands when needed.

This is the worst apartment I have been living in. The apartments are old and poor maintained. They barely come to repair any thing that you reported to them. They also over charge you a lot some items that you have no idea when they come from. Like install automatic lock for your door which is useless and not easy to use. My neighbor told me to leave away from here on the first day I moved-in. I was so regret that I didn’t listen to him.

Maintenance has improved drastically since the new workers began working last year. The previous crew just marked it done without work being done. Of course that left a mountain of work for our new workers to catch up on.
The new workout area is great for my walking during the hot humid summer and rainy season.
The new assistant property manager is on top of things and addresses issues like pet owners being careless about their pet’s waste disposal.

They keep up with issues to the best of their abilities. They've hired more maintenance so things do get fixed faster. They have a new security system so that's a nice feature.
They are a little pricy but this is a more expensive area so it's expected.
Ladies in the office are very helpful with things and try their best to solve any problems you may have.
