You won't believe the view!
From the description, we arrived expecting a house on a street in a development. What a surprise! The house is at the far end of a very long slope and sits in a prime position facing Lake Tahoe. We ate most of our meals on the deck and had trouble going on outings because we were so happy just to enjoy the view of the lake and the forest. The arrangement of bedrooms suited the three of us very well. One bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and three bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs. The well-outfitted kitchen and very comfortable living room have windows with views all around. We hope to return next spring or summer!

We had an amazing time!! The house is gorgeous and is so conveniently located. I loved the huge windows, views and very large open kitchen. There were some minor hiccups but nothing major. I loved that there were hiking trails steps from the house. There are a TON of stairs in this house so if you don't mind getting a workout, then you'll be fine! It's a beautifully designed house and we just loved our stay. I must add a note about the people at the rental office - they are the NICEST, most wonderful people!! When we had an issue with the water heater, they handled it immediately and there was a handyman at the door in about 10 minutes!!! Amazing! They went above and beyond, going to the house before our arrival to put the turkey I ordered in the house so the bears wouldn't get it. They truly saved our Thanksgiving!!!

We purchased Tavern II #44, when it was new in 2002 and went to Reno and bought new Scandinavian Design furniture for the entire 1400 sq. ft. of the condo. The bedding was purchased from Bed, Bath & Beyond and the kitchen furnished with Dansk kitchen ware. It was decorated with Tahoe Yacht Club Concours Wooden Boat posters and ski posters, including two Life Magazines from February 1960 Olympics at Squaw Valley.
We enjoyed using it in the summer for 15 years and rented it to a ski family in the winter.Except for removing and moving around some of the posters, the condo looks just like we left it when sold in 2017. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Village at Squaw over the Wanderlust weekend. Six women/yogis shared this comfortable 3 bedroom/3 bath condo, which served all our needs, and was extremely clean. We were able to have meals both in our condo and also just steps away in the village. The condo is spacious and had ample towels in the bathrooms and plenty of kitchenware. While we all enjoyed lots of yoga, we also had a wonderful time exploring the surrounding mountains and waterfalls, and enjoying the tranquility of the Valley!

The Cabin in the Woods was the perfect spot for our family ski vacation only a 5min drive to the lifts. The cabin was clean, functional, cozy, well equipped and charming. The whole process was easy and seamless. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with all appliances and dishware. Good privacy and lots of parking. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend "Modern Mountain Home with River Views" in the Alpine Meadows area. The home was very spacious and clean with plenty of amenities for dining and entertaining. Relax after a day of outdoor fun and adventures on plush beds with comfy blankets and pillows. You can hear the Truckee river flow just outside the home. It is also very close to Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

My group stayed at one of their Tavern Inn units to ski at Alpine/Squaw. We enjoyed our stay. Check in/check out was easy and management was quick to help when we called about how to access the pool/hot tub area. Only downside was the steep cleaning fee, but we knew that going in. Everything in the unit met our expectations. I'd stay at one of their properties again.
