Amazing stay through Sun Bear Realty! The property was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views of the lake! Everything was clean and in great condition. Office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would book another stay with any Sun Bear property anytime!

We have been using Sun Bear for almost 4 years. We are property owners of a duplex, in which they manage one side, as a long term rental. We have had 2 problem tenants; one when we first purchased our property, and one in 2023. On both occasions, Sun Bear staff expeditiously addressed the issues and took appropriate action. We were kept apprised of their course of action every step of the way. The later tenant was very high maintenance and consistently made unreasonable requests and complaints which could never be verified. Sun Bear staff were consistently, professional, attentive, and firm on what could and would be completed. We were very grateful for their expertise and diplomacy in dealing with both us, the property owner, and our tenants. Blain, Meredith, and Luis have been wonderful to work with, trustworthy, and attentive to the needs of everyone involved. I highly recommend this company.

Be forewarned - do not rent from them. They are absolutely awful. Only rent from them if you have a desire to be constantly gaslit and your deposit extorted. They are scammers.

I am writing this review under a pseudo name because I am genuinely concerned when it comes their employees.

We rented a property from them for only 8 months. When we moved out they extorted $1200 from us as move out expenses, despite us leaving them a professionally cleaned place. These expenses are presented in a single line in a document among myriad of documents when signing a lease, however, the main issue is the careless and irresponsible way Sun Bear uses the tenant deposit towards these expenses. If you chose to rent from them, remember to budget this expense into your total cost of renting.

Luis, one of their employees, has yelled at me loudly in my own house. When I requested Sun Bear to assign someone else to my account because I feared for my safety, Meredith only defended him and made me continue to interact with him. He’s the most incompetent property manager I have ever met, basically the definition of someone who gaslights constantly. Whenever something was broken, his and Sun Bear’s response was nothing is wrong. When presented with hard evidence, that’s still the response. We paid full rent despite not getting a fully functional house for many months because they denied a serious problem existed. One of these incidences was in front of my guest who could not believe how unprofessionally a property manager was treating a tenant. They also harassed us to go outside in a snowstorm to perform a dangerous activity, which is supposed to be under property manager care. I wonder if the money extortion retaliation against us was for reporting Luis’ unprofessional behavior to his superiors.

They are unprofessional and probably unlawful. I don’t write too many reviews but people deserve a warning about this business. Be careful.

We have used Sun Bear Realty several times for our Tahoe holidays, and are extremely pleased with the highly personalized and professional service we have received.
We have found all the staff to be super nice…and they always go above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Response time is fast and the homes we have rented have been very clean and well furnished. Highly recommend!!

Very impressed with their vacation rental options and locations. We recently stayed at Bitterbrush 174. The place was very clean, had everything we needed including tons of books and puzzles, as well as a gorgeous view. You could event hear the water in the creek down below. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped (coffee maker and espresso machine!), washer/dryer looked new. Tons of linens. Ceiling fans worked great. Bedrooms did get a little warm at night due to the high heat while we were there (interior bedroom was much cooler), but it was easily managed with fans (AC is upstairs in the main area and it was wonderful). Staff were very accessible and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
