Mark and the team at Strub are total rock stars! We moved to Austin from out of state in 2019. We didn’t really know the area very well, but Mark immediately got a feel for the kind of place that would work with our lifestyle and found a hidden gem of a house in a great neighborhood.

After living there for 4 years and making a bunch of improvements we decided to move out of state to be closer to family. This was summer of 2023 and the Austin market had already started tanking after the huge 2020-21 price surges. We weren’t sure the place would sell because everything in the city was sitting for months.

Mark’s team put together an incredible listing and did tons of marketing and open houses and got us offer at close to full price after only 2 weeks on market! There were a lot of hurdles to jump through with the inspection and closing process, but the team stayed on top of everything and kept the deal together until we closed.

Justyn LeFebvre and the team at Strub are the best in the business. Justyn mobilized a team that did painting, repairs, pictures, advertising, staging and listing. His operation was so smooth, that by the time we listed, we had offers waiting. His pricing was perfect to create interest but also right in the sweet spot to bid up. Our home in Travis Heights was sold in less than a week and I still can't believe the final sales price.

Side note: After staging, I considered keeping the house as an Airbnb, but the price was too good.

Where do I start? Justyn is everything I could ever want in a realtor. 1st time home buyer, new to the Austin area, and only in Austin part-time during my house hunt: I worked with Justyn and without him, who knows where I would be living right now. Alas, we closed on a perfect home in early March, making it through aggressive competition, and I could not be happier and more optimistic about my future in Austin.

It is clear now, especially for a 1st-time buyer, that you need a full-service agency and dedicated agent and that's exactly what Strub was able to provide. If I had cut corners or gone for the bargain model that was offered to me along the way, I would not have landed in this neighborhood, I would not have been able to close on something with as much value and upside, and the level of stress and anxiety would have been too great. I threw a lot at Mark and Justyn early on. I was relocating from the Bay Area and I could only be down here part-time. I also came in thinking I knew exactly what I was looking for only to change my mind several times along the way.

Justyn was on top of everything the whole way. He provided research and perspective early on to help me better understand the market, neighborhoods, and to educate me on the finer details of the home buying process. Before we saw anything, he would stop by himself to make sure it was worth our joint time together (HUGE!). While I was away he did video tours of homes on our list (who does that!?). He worked hard to make sure we had private times to view homes so that we could focus. He was always available to chat, dig into something, or just listen to me think out loud.

"You'll know when you walk in," is a cliche, but it is true. Once we found the house, Justyn was on it, making sure we had the leg up and using the whole team at Strub to ensure we looked at it from all angles. We were aggressive where we needed to be and tactful in some key areas that gave us the edge without increasing my costs.

Ultimately, it was the time, effort, and great coaching that got me to the perfect home and neighborhood. I know I have a great resource here if anything comes up along the way or if I ever want to buy and/or sell in the Austin area again.

Update! We bought another house with Mark’s help. No question we could not have bought our house without Mark’s clever negotiating, understanding of our needs, and great relationships with other brokers in the community! We’ve now sold and bought through Strüb and have had great experiences with the whole team. There are nuances their expertise is really necessary for, especially in this tricky market. We will without question work with them again when the need arises!

Update 2022: We absolutely love working with Mark for buying and selling homes in the Austin area. We just completed our third closing with him, and it was a huge relief to have his expertise and guidance along the way. Mark navigates the intricacies of our rapidly shifting housing market with ease, but perhaps even more importantly he really understands people--he gets us, he gets our buyers, and he gets the buyer's agent. Without that quality, I would have been on edge from listing til close. I trust him 1000% and am so glad he's in Austin!
