We are in an apartment building In Wisconsin by spm and we are not being renewed due to our neighbor below us calling the cops every day for a year for children playing during the door. We aren't purposely stomping on the floors or doing anything that is excessively loud. As stated by the neighbor. We have the cad reports to show that it isn't our fault the cops have told us numerous of times that it isn't anything to be called out for and that they didn't hear anything at all there were only a few times that they heard kids playing which they stated was not a reason to call. We have only called on our neighbor for loud music at night once. Again I have the reports to show we are not calling it's the other neighbor calling but according the management it's both tenants calling back and forth which is not true. So we have to move because of someone else's actions. This has been an ongoing going issue and instead of management doing anything about there just not renewing either of us. Please stay away from this company all they care about is there money. Not to mention the common areas power was shut off 3 times this year for them not paying the bill.

Due to two tenants unable to get along, all tenants on our hall are being punished by taking the 2 chairs off our porch. All other areas have sitting. This is a discrimination against me and the others who enjoy sitting out in fresh air BRV. Two more areas got chairs moved that have been used by elderly tenants since I moved here April 2015. They are close to tenants apartments and were used daily by tenants who have problems walking and just wanted to get out of apartments for fresh air. Seems you would want to make life more enjoyable for your tenants instead of taking small pleasures away. Baptist Retirement Village Gadsden alabama. I got a 30 day notice for posting a note on my door due to a smoke infiltration into my apartment for 3 days that sent me to the ER. I have Reactive airway disease with acute exacerbation. I was trying to protect myself from any further harm until management came in. They arrived just before 8.I asked for my situation to be addressed at their meeting. It wasn't until later that I met with Amber,Amy,April. It seemed they were sympathetic to my problem with the second hand smoke and chemicals sprayed to cover it up and planned on finding a solution. Just before they left on Tuesday an envelope was slipped under my door stating that I had a 30 day notice. And I was bullying by putting this note on my door. I was trying to protect myself from another ER visit. There are some situations going on at this property that desperately need addressed. I can't believe a top management company would run its business so heartless and unsympathetic towards elderly people who are your tenants.

This morning, a group of SPM employees was set up at the stop sign on the way out of our street. They had Chick-Fil-A biscuits and juice for everyone heading to work. Great stuff.

In addition to the gesture, my wife and I have had two maintenance requests since July resolved quickly with no headaches.

The property that's being managed in Montgomery, AL is horrible. The trash bin always overflowing, tenants are allowed to walk dogs all through out the complex and not clean up behind them. The lawn service people that cut the grass never pick up the paper or trash they just mow right over it and there is constantly some kind of insect problem. The maintenance and management are slow with the work orders taking days to weeks to be completed. The property manager also threatening with fines that are not listed in the lease. Property hasn't been cleaned since the new owners took over. Two maintenance personnel but only one comes out to works.

I am a very reasonable, patient, and understanding person to people in all walks of life because I know what may be important to me may not matter at all to the next person, but when a legally binding agreement, a lease is involved how understanding is one supposed to be, especially when it's an expectation of my residence to follow, but management could Careless on the contrary!? It's disheartening, unprofessional, and as an adult you feel disrespected to a point. I've lived in the PROJECTS, I mean real government housing projects, and received way more professional, accommodating services than at the property I'm at now! I've sent videos and even written contact@spm and property managers and NO RESPONSE, nor concern because of lies that have no proof other than a bunch of people whom all are connected to each others words, against one person that has lived in the property longer than all other parties combined, always pass rent on time, apartment is WELL kept, and never had an major complaints, and NEVER violated a term in the lease! I've never felt more like a child in my adulthood than dealing with this management company! Our office staff Nor maintenance is ever the same, the lease doesn't matter, video proof doesn't matter, it's just a race of whom gets to the office first and spends the most time in the office staff's face, who's story is believed when dealing with Unruly neighbors and it's really sad, almost pathetic! My property used to be BEAUTIFUL, office staff cared, you were talked to and treated like a person, but every since SPM took over it's truly survival of the favorites! I've never seen business conducted in such an unprofessional manner, if I didn't love my actual apartment so much I would definitely move on with my family, because even a dog deserves better treatment than what I've received from SPM, AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

I Stay In A SPM Property In Birmingham AL and Have Been Dealing With Roaches Bad. I Keep a Clean Apartment With No Food Or Trash Around. For The Last Month or So I have Been seeing a heavy presence of BIG Roaches. I’ve called the property manager and nothing have been done about it. They always say that they have put in a pest control request everytime I call and yet I have not seen anyone come out to spray or anything. This is crazy that I have to come to google and leave a review which I’ve been trying to avoid doing but this is asinine to be leaving in a place like this.

The property was great but unfortunately there was domestic violence going on and I had to leave and when I went to the office they told me I was good to leave … fast forward a year it is now on my credit report saying I owe 5000 dollars and no one is responding to my emails or calls.

This is maybe the worst property management company around. Unresponsive, not respectful, does not follow through on most of their promises. I wish I could say this was only an experience I have had, but sadly multiple people I know who have lived at multiple SPM properties also have horrible experiences. During my stay the roof was refinished and during that process dirt/soot/who knows what would rain down daily as work was done. Not only did I get no advance notice about the work, the property managers were unresponsive to the issues. Avoid staying at any of these properties. I see their team has responded to this review. It is worth noting that I was moved to write this after talking with multiple people that had lived at TJ Tower within the last year. They were complaining about unresponsiveness, security concerns and unfulfilled promises. I surely hope improvements are being made, but within the last year the problems with management at properties has seemingly persisted.
