Lived here for two years and absolutely loved it!! I felt super safe in this neighborhood, everyone from residents to staff were very friendly, the maintenance staff was always responsive and handled things quickly, the inside of the units were clean and of course there are gorgeous views from the building. Really not one bad thing to say about my experience here. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately this place has many issues although it is located in a nice city. I've detailed them below from my time being here over 1 year. I start with the negatives and the positives are at the bottom.

* CONS:

1.) Plumbing/Water - Constant issues with water/plumbing. Contaminated water and fumes coming up from drains, weak water pressure, hot water turns cold too quickly or it doesn't warm up fast enough. 3rd time in a row they had a plumbing emergency and shut off water in the entire building before a meeting so I had to brush my teeth with water bottles and bath with water bottles and wet wipes like a 3rd world country.

2.) Lack of security - there are no gates or any security here. People are continuously going through the garbage, sketchy people roaming the grounds at night, packages being stolen. Someone's car was stolen from their parking spot.

3.) Not "luxury" as claimed - When I moved in everything looked nice and upgraded, within the year I noticed toilets and showers were poorly patched up or repainted because through normal use they gradually wore away to reveal the old base. At least they could have sealed the paint jobs properly. It is an old building and what we consider luxury today just doesn't align here. ESPECIALLY for the AMOUNT of rent they are charging!

4.) Road Noise - although windows are sound resistant - this complex sits above a VERY traffic heavy road so there is really never a quiet time unless its late at night. Anytime you open a window to enjoy a breeze its constant sound pollution.

5.) Rent costs - I understand rent is skyrocketing everywhere, however the prices they are trying to charge here are simply outrageous considering the above issues. Just pure greed. Don't support greedy companies taking advantage of residents like this.

6.) Parking - Parking is impossible. Many residents don't use their garages for parking their cars. Some even run businesses out of them. My family came for Christmas and they had to park their cars across the street in the shopping center. Also many residents horde parking spots for weeks at a time.

7. Dust. Dust. And more Dust! The driers for each unit vent directly onto your patio, under door and into your windows. So your home is always constantly covered in dust, we will dust our apartment and the next day it is covered in dust again. We even spent $400 on air purifiers and it barely helped. We are gonna do small cleaning and leave most of it for the property to clean up when we move out. It's unmanageable to deal with.

8. Dirty Hallways and stairs. We constantly find dog poop, trash, food, alcohol bottles and dead bugs all over the stairs and hallways. The property only washes them once a year. It's disgusting!

Jess is amazing!! She's extremely helpful and personable, she really cared about us and wanted us to have a good experience, and she took the time to explain all the great opportunities that come with living in the Sendero Gateway community. She showed us a couple different layouts, all the amenities, and since she's a resident she was able to offer us insight into the benefits and perks of being a resident there. We loved working with her! We had another walk through at another complex, but ultimately we decided to move into Sendero because of how enthusiastic and helpful Jess is. We're excited for our new home! Thank you Jess!!

Even though I've only lived here for one week I absolutely love it! I highly recommend checking out Sendero Gateway AND working with Jessica!
