This company is weird. Be very careful if you decide to rent with them. When I moved in, the heater wasn’t working, called the gas company and they said it was unsafe to use. They called a company to “fix” the heater, still unsafe to use as it smelt of horrible gas. The company’s technician even told me that he’s been to my house before for the same issue but with different tenants. So this company obviously never fixed the issue. Never used the heater at all ever since.

When I moved in, they gave us broken blinds, a nonfunctional refrigerator (they did replace though) and a screen door with a huge hole in it. I’m pretty sure they’re going to take it out of MY security deposit once I move out.

I am supposed to move out on the 31st of March but I am getting questioned to see if I am going to move out my stuff sooner so they can “get it ready for showing”. Mind you, I PAID rent until March 31st, that is when my lease is up.

I’m preparing for them to take half my security deposit for something thats not even within my control because they seem shady like that. Will update review once I see how much of my security deposit I actually get back.

I was a prior tenet at a Riviera property for about a year and had a bad experience with them. They failed to fix my building after it suffered major structural damage due to a car crashing into it. We eventually moved out after nearly 5 months of complete inaction. It was hazardous to walk underneath the damage, which was crumbling from above and blocked the only entrance to my apartment. Major parts of the upstairs walkway and one of the two staircases were not usable. Rivera didn’t even clean up the debris from the crashed car. Car parts and crumbled concrete could still be found around the property for at least 4 months afterwards.

I’m very disappointed by Riviera Property and don’t understand how it is legal for them to force tenets to live in a hazardous environment for at least 5 months.

Riviera was also slow to respond to maintenance requests, required frequent access to my apartment for various inspections with very short notice, and did not perform any upkeep of the yard or parking area.
