Horrible experience.
I've read bad reviews of Ritz properties but I didn't want to trust them. Please, trust them when you see bad reviews. I visited an apartment with Robert (very nice), applied, and got approved. To my surprise, they didn't tell me before that I had to pay a non-refundable deposit (500$) BEFORE seeing my contract. I couldn't see what I was going to sign if I didn't pay the fee. All of this, combined with an incredible lack of professionalism from Ben F. (the owner, as far as I understand) who spoke to me in a very dry and unhelpful manner via email, and who responded to why I had to pay $500 "because you've been accepted" without giving me any further explanations. Then, on the fourth email, he said he wouldn't respond to me anymore and if I didn't like their processes, good luck. Very unprofessional and lacking humanity. The apartment was nice, but just based on the treatment, I would never rent from them.

Been in a Ritz apartment for 30 years. Manager of building live here also and has been very pleasant. HOWEVER...the building is not safe. Homeless people getting in our doors, and jumping gates to enter our garage. IT'S DANGEROUS! We need cameras and have put this forward to Mr. Patterson the owner. Finger-crossed. Hollywood is dangerous these days. HELP!!

We were ghosted!

My partner and I both applied for an apartment the day it became available online (and we both paid the $35 fee). Daniel from Ritz emailed us the next day to setup a showing, we responded that same day to confirm our interest in the unit and setup a time to see the place. We had to reply on top of that email to finally hear back from Daniel, and he told us we could setup a showing for the following week. I replied back to that email three times and called Daniel twice and left a voicemail, but we did not hear back from him at all.

The apartment has since been leased by someone else (we're guessing because it's not on the website anymore). We still didn't receive a follow up email or call from Daniel, which would have been the considerate and professional thing to do.

We understand that the LA market moves quickly, but please don't leave people hanging and guessing when they have paid the fee and have been responsive throughout the process.

Raheem was the worst agent I ever had to deal with. Not only he has attitude, he was very aggressive, a bully and unprofessional. One word to summon him RUDE. This guy should never be hired to represent anything. Mind you representing a property in Beverly Hills. If Ritz would be interested to address this issue, feel free to contact me.
1st he did not return my call.
2nd when I followed up with him, he seemed all annoyed and unprofessional.
3rd the day we met, he was shouting at me for asking him where I can park and if he had pulled temporary parking so I would not get a ticket.
If this is how RITZ hire people, I wonder what management are they!

I s/w Raheem on a Thursday regarding a vacancy we met that Saturday I luv'd the unit & submitted my application that same day! Raheem called me the following Monday to lmk my app was approved & the unit was mine!..:) My advice to ppl who are looking & dealing with this property management Co. 1= Is to be READY with ur documents & funds 2= Have everything that is requested. Raheem was pleasant & direct but in a good way straight to the point which I prefer...I'm happy & have no complaints 😉

After 2.5 years of living here, I think it’s about time for a review. Ever since Robert B first showed me the apartment, I’ve been enamored with its architectural charm/feng shui, high ceilings and ample sunlight. On the maintenance side, Mia and Daniel have been exceptionally helpful and kind, and JJ is a true pro who has fixed any issue I’ve had in an impressive response time. Before this, I’ve lived in 2 other properties managed by different companies, and while this may be a hackneyed phrase, I can safely declare that “the 3rd time is the charm.”

I rented from them a while back and, boy, was it bad. They basically neglect you. No one answered phone calls. They are quick to take your money and leave you in the dust. Do yourself a favor, take the low ratings as a hint and run the other direction FAST.

Probably the most inconsiderate, money hungry and rude landlord company I have ever experienced. And I come from NYC and use to work with landlords..

They have zero manners on the phone, they treat you like crap and threaten you throughout the entire process while dealing with them.

And they LOVE to try and take advantage of your lack of legal expertise. So they will just lie to you and if you do not know any better to go and inquire for yourself, you are screwed.

If you have a choice to avoid this company? I would.
