I recently purchased a home and unfortunately had a highly disappointing experience with Daniel Avina and their team at Compass who works under Eloy Villamil. While the home search was going well, once escrow started, I encountered poor communication, which significantly increased the stress of the home-buying process. I was required to pay for a transaction coordinator, but despite this, I frequently received paperwork with incorrect information that had to be corrected, often at the last minute.

Throughout the transaction, there was very little communication between my realtor and my lender, which caused unnecessary delays and confusion. What’s more, I was rarely given any clear explanation of what to expect during escrow, leaving me feeling in the dark about important steps in the process.

The most frustrating part of this experience came when my realtor promised to split the cost of the home warranty with me since the seller refused to cover it. I trusted his word, but after multiple attempts to collect his portion, he has stopped responding entirely. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

Additionally, it appears that the broker and transaction coordinator were the same person, raising concerns about conflicts of interest and the overall ethics of the team. The lack of transparency, professionalism, and accountability I experienced was beyond belief. I strongly recommend that this team re-evaluate their practices and work toward upholding better professional ethics for the sake of future clients. I would absolutely NOT recommend, ESPECIALLY for first time home buyers.

Eloy Villamil and his team helped me and family get our first property. Their patience and knowledge blew me away. I never once felt rushed or pressured into buying anything. And any question or concern I had they answered and help me understand everything. Once we found the home they did everything to make sure our offer got accepted over plenty others and at the same time get us the best deal. My family really thanks Eloy and his team. I would definitely recommend them any time :).

Juan Garcia is the most unprofessional Real Estate Agent. We leave him messages and he never returns the phone call. Escrow has finally closed, however we still have not received the funds promised after close of escrow. I would not use him as an agent again.
