RE/MAX 1000 is made up of crooks and scammers. Mr. Ken Fang and Mr. Benjamin Lin at RE/MAX 1000, along with Ms. Rachel Shui at Garden Escrow and John Ma, attorney-at-law, threaten minority, female small business owners with extortion schemes.

My mother had the misfortunate of hiring Mr. Ken Fang as her realtor. When the sale fell through, Mr. Fang illegally sent my mother a contract that stated "the seller promise[s] to hire Ke Fang as [the] listing broker when the seller will list the property on [the] market in [the] future. Listing broker commission is 2% of [the] purchase price. If the seller breaks the promise and sell[s] the property by someone else, the seller agrees to still pay a 2% commission to Ke Fang." Absolutely revolting. Additionally, he told her he would not allow any cancellation papers to go through without a $10,000 "commission" payment to him. I would absolutely, 100% avoid at all cost.

My mother is an immigrant with limited English capabilities and not a lot of knowledge of the real estate process. I am disgusted that he would try to take advantage of her in this way.
