I think HOA's all around have a bad reputation. When someone hears "HOA," they expect to hear something negative. RCP management, unfortunately, confirms this notion.

I have reached out to our community's manager on March 10th regarding getting an EV charger installed at our home. Given what I know about HOA's i suspected there would be some sort of guidelines as to where it can get placed. Therefore i did, what I believed to be, the right thing and asked about this. It is April 2nd at the time of writing this review and I have received NO answer to my question. We have had email exchanges and all I got were "we are checking on this" or no response until I eventually follow up again. I truly don't understand how or why this is treated as rocket science. I even provided an image of where we would look to get it installed and still nothing. I finally gave up and said we will get it installed wherever we please and if the HOA has an issue then they can pay to have it moved. I stand by this.

Additionally, in the same email I sent on March 10th, I also inquired if the HOA has a branch cutting service as there are trees that hover over our backyard. Again, a simple question which requires a simple answer yet same result. NO response whatsoever regarding this after being told "the HOA will look into this."

So on top of our HOA fee, now we also have to pay for this ourselves? So what exactly does our HOA fee cover? Because it does not appear to go to anything of value besides plowing snow 4 times out of the year.

If you are moving into a community where RCP is the management company, I would steer far away. They do not seem to care about their residents.

To make matters worse, if you look at the other reviews, they only seem to care to respond to the positive ones. They seldom reply to the reviews giving negative feedback. This company just does not care, simply put.

HOA's may have their limitations. It is never an easy dynamic but I must say Holly Teufel does a great job of keeping the owners of the property updated and informed regarding guidelines and property news. She is very responsive, super personable. She tries to find you the right solutions. Truly a gem!

I am not sure if this company is part of an AI experiment or if people actually work there to provide customer service to those who pay HOA fees. I would say avoid them at all costs unless you enjoy sending multiple follow up emails or being told they can't find your deposited checks( and then you have to prove you sent it; makes me question their accounting practices) or purchase a property and then getting a bill for a special assessment that was never disclosed on the property before closing (meanwhile current homeowners had a year notice). I may have decided to sell my property so I would never have to deal with this company or 'property manager ' again. Horrible.
