After interviewing and gathering information on several real-estate agents I decided Greg Rankin was the best real-estate agent to work with to sell my home of thirty-four years in the Carnelian Bay area of North Lake Tahoe.  His years of experience working in the Tahoe City, Olympic Valley, and the Tahoe Basin in general has given him an excellent feel for the market.

After looking over my home carefully he did the best job I could expect in advising me on actions I should take to prepare my home for sale. That included inspections in advance and addressing issues the Home Inspector found.

After reviewing comparable homes just sold or on the market, he spent time thoroughly explaining his analysis and guided me in setting a selling price correctly. My point here is that from the initial interview to the close of escrow, Greg was a patient listener, always responding promptly to my concerns about the selling process and going the extra mile to make that process easier for me. He was always low key, never pressuring me to make decisions. He spent all the time with me I needed to help complete paperwork and used his network of contacts to find contractors to work on short notice.

I was preparing to move at the same time the house went on the market. Greg accommodated my schedule and still managed to arrange to show the house to prospective clients. He had worked out a long-range selling plan, but due to his efforts, we priced the house at the right price resulting in the house selling quickly; in 11 days!

In 2018 we decided to sell our home on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Tahoe. We had lived in that home for over 30 years. We were referred to Greg Rankin by our next-door neighbor as he had represented her in the purchase of her home. Greg was very professional and knowledgeable about the Lake Tahoe real estate market. The buyer for our house was in the midst of a property exchange and this complicated our closing. I do not often write reviews. However, after working with Greg Rankin to find a vacation home in Lake Tahoe, I felt compelled to do so. After years of renting in the area, my wife, son and I decided to take a look at property throughout the Tahoe Basin. Fortunately, we found Greg, by researching the internet.
