Karen,Dan,and Armando are the best. They created the best experience for us over and over and over!
We purchased our first motor home at there location. It was used but in great shape. Dan created all kinds of magic to get us financing. As any used vehicle purchase, there were some changes we needed and this is we’re Armando stepped in and provided us amazing service!
After we had our motor home for some 10 months one of the neighborhood bandits stole our catalytic converter. Not knowing what to do we reached out to Karen and she was amazing. She handled my insurance and and had her team take care of everything! We had shopped all the big dealers and found Rancho’s used motor homes, services, knowledge and friendship to be the best. I would never consider buying or servicing with anyone else ever!

The General Manager, Dan Sherwood, has been horrible to work with from Day 1! He lied about the date we could pick our trailer up over and again. We canceled the extended warranty policy that he sold us because it covered nothing. We have been waiting 5 months to receive a refund. More lies and stress! We love our trailer but would never do business with this man again!

Worst experience with any business in my ENTIRE LIFE. They wasted many hours of my time, caused tremendous amounts of stress all for the sake of greed. End result was we contacted a lawyer and only after letting them know we would take legal action, did we get our issue resolved.

Dan, the General Manager, convinced me that we should open a claim on our insurance in order to repair a fairly minor scrape from a tree branch on the side of the roof, since it was of no fault of my own. They gave me a ballpark that the repair would cost less than 2K total.

Once the estimate came back to me via the insurance company, I was shocked that they had estimated the job to be $12k which was for a whole new roof. So I called my insurance company and found out that my insurance premiums would indeed go up significantly due to the high value claim. I asked the insurance adjuster to cancel the claim immediately. I was completely caught off guard on how a $2K repair went up by 6X.

I called Dan to inform him that I was canceling the claim, who to my utter shock told me “well we have a problem because we already ripped off your entire roof”!!! I never approved the teardown or repair to start. He claimed that because I had provided a claim number (so that he could estimate the work that I had approved), that was authorization. My insurance company was shocked they broke the law and started work. It became clear why I was told to file a claim which was because RSM RV could monetize the transaction.

And it gets WAY worse - Dan then informs me that I will need to pay him for the tear down and any cost for putting my roof back on. At this point I reached out to our attorney who confirmed that any service repair shop can’t legally start repairs on a RV without the owner's consent which I 100% never gave him. They broke the law.

And it gets worse again - After Dan realized that I’m not going to give in and just proceed with the insurance claim due to the corner he’s tried to back me into, he confessed (without apology or remorse) that the roof wasn’t removed, but they had just started to remove some of the components.

And, yes, it gets worse again. Karen, the owner, eventually agreed to put the roof back in working order. Despite all the problems they’d caused the repair got delayed multiple times. They changed the pickup window at the last minute and when I expressed my dissatisfaction by stating that I simply could not take anymore abuse from their company, she literally hung up on me.

There are quite a few additional details I left out regarding other lies and misrepresentations by Dan. If you decide to do business with these people after reading this account, best of luck - you may very well need it and an attorney. Buyers please beware of the law and consumer rights. Nobody can start work without your consent. Always question what the true agenda is when you are told by a 3rd party to file a claim.
