Had what I needed. Staff was very helpful and spent time showing me how to operate the equipment. I’ve rented mini excavators back hoes lawn aerator and numerous other things. It was nice I could drop off on Sunday when they were closed.

I have rented here periodically in the past. The equipment has always been well used and dirty but no major problems previously.

I rented a chain saw. It was very hard to get it started when I got it home. Before I left, they assured me the chain was sharp but it wasn't. I had to clean the spark plug before I could get it started, and had to tighten the chain as it was hanging off the bar.

In any case I ran the saw for about 10 minutes and it stalled out. The first time I pulled the cord to get it started again the cord came out of the handle and retracted into the inner compartment. I didn't have the right tool to get the cover off to re-attach the cord.

I brought the saw back the next day before 24 hours was up and asked them to fix the cord so I could finish what I needed to do. The owner Chuck started giving me a hard time for not bringing it in sooner to get it fixed. I told him I used it after work/after hours and was needed to do the same today. I told him I came in when it was convenient for me (after work) and that it should be an easy fix if you have the tool to get the cover off. He continued to lecture me and said I shouldn't expect to get the saw for another day without paying for another day. The conversation went downhill from there. He ended up refunding part of my fee and said I was free to rent equipment elsewhere.

I don't know how you run a business by berating customers this way. Their business model seems to be: don't service anything until it breaks, and then when it breaks blame the customer. It also seemed like Chuck was looking for an argument from the get go.

Needless to say I won't be going back there.

I'd encourage anyone looking to rent from Prescott Equipment & Rental Sales to be extremely cautious.

In fact, you should probably just go elsewhere.

Rented a brand new Kubota L4700 Backhoe. Being new it was in great shape. The customer service was excellent as was the price. Will be using these guys again. Highly recommend.

Great place to rent equipment from! Chuck was great and their team was easy to deal with. I needed to move 30T of 1” ground cover. The stand on track loader worked. But if were to do it over I would have used a wheeled bobcat or similar loader. I didn’t have many options due to my access to my area but the track loader is hard on existing landscaping and have a bit of rework to do.

They offer great refurbished cubicles and very responsive communication. The modified typical layout worked great. Bob jumped on a call with us after the installation over a holiday weekend to troubleshoot all the little kinks, so we could turn part of our commercial warehouse into the office space that would host our team at our new facility. Will highly recommend!

Recently rented a Gannon tractor that had tire issues. I needed to air it up every day while in use. They knew of the problem and said it was just fine. It was not.. Also, the battery was dead on Sunday morning when I needed. They said these things happen. Didn't like the attitude I was given nor the excuses. Shouldn't have to deal with any problems from rented equipment....

I am a heating and cooling contractor and this is the place that I will always read from. The staff is very Nice. Their equipment is immaculate and works very well in appears to be very well maintained. I have yet to be on a job site using their equipment and having a break. Whenever I've reserved the equipment it is ready to go and they always help me loaded on my trailer there a wonderful local shop that needs to be supported use them once and you'll see what I'm talking about keep up the great work guys
