Lived at North Lake Apartments in East Brunswick for 2 years, and dealing with management wasâand still isâa complete nightmare. After moving out, management lied and withheld my security deposit without any legitimate reason. I had to take them to court to get it back. The result? Platinum Management lost and was ordered to pay me the full amount for small claims court, which exceeded my security deposit amount . Now, theyâre dragging their feet on paying what they owe (big surprise), and I wouldnât put it past them to keep stalling or trying to avoid payment entirely.
This group is shady, unethical, and will go to any length to take your money.
If youâre considering dealing with Platinum Management, proceed with caution. Theyâve likely scammed thousands out of tenants over the years. If you do rent with them, document everythingâtake photos before and after you move, keep all communication in writing, and donât hesitate to take legal action if they try to con you.

I rented a property that was managed and possibly owned by this company, Platinum Management.
From start to finish this company was rude, uncaring, and extremely unprofessional. They made my life, a living h-e-double hockey stick.
They did not preform needed maintenance or extermination until the housing authority forced them.
They used very dishonest practices. I would not recommend them at all! I would never again rent from them. If youâre reading these reviews because youâre searching for a property management companyâŚ. Keep it moving, look elsewhere, I promise you they will make a good tenant go bad.

The person that got me into my house was honest and transparent. He is apparently no longer with this company. The management staff, Katya to be exact was not professional and often did not respond to calls for damage and repair in a timely manner. The home's interior and exterior was in disrepair from the time I moved in due to the last tenants. I was in a tough spot so I stayed and paid rent on time and was never late even after Katya raised the rent by $400 in 2022 for no apparent reason. As I said, repairs were not done in a timely manner and the home's exterior was damaged from lack of upkeep and leaked badly in the kitchen. Roots would grow in one of the main drains every year and the water would back up in the upstairs bathroom. There were times where I had to wait a week or more for repair. One repairman even referred to Platinum as slumlords. I had to exercise my right as a tenant and I withheld the rent because the water heater had failed and Katya did not get back with me. I have since ended my time at the residence and was hit with a hefty bill from Katya and someone named Elaine. Needless to say, proper protocols were not followed when I moved in or after I left. Please do not trust these people or do business with them. This company is very dishonest. I am a military veteran with an impeccable reputation and history with regard to my business dealings. If they can do this to a perfect tenant they will do this to anyone.
Please be warned about Platinum Management properties.

I couldn't be happier with the new apartment I moved into. It's very spacious, with plenty of parking for both myself and my visitors. The large windows flood the rooms with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the neighborhood is peaceful and conveniently located near shops and restaurants, making it an ideal place to call home.

Overall, I was satisfied with everyone I spoke to or emailed. The process of applying to signing a lease was pretty smooth.
On the other hand, the first time I requested to see the unit, I called and spoke with someoneâŚI couldnât really understand him. He said I can go view the unit any time I want and simply provided the lock box code to get the key and enter. I didnât think that was the safest way to allow me to view it. I donât remember the person even asking me my name.
When I moved into the unit, 2 months ago, it was a mess!!! It looked like it wasnât cleaned ever! I mean I expected to have to clean the unit anyway, at least to disinfect, but the amount of crumbs in kitchen drawers and items left in bathroom vanity drawers, and donât even get me started on what the refrigerator and feeder looked like. I was so angry and disgusted! Itâs was really so gross. I guess shame on me for not addressing that before I moved in, but I assumed it would have been taken care of. Then when I emailed them about the mess, I never got a reply. The only reply I got was to âplease leave a Google reviewâ with the link. Iâve obviously waited to review, but if I reviewed at that moment, it would have been worse than what Iâve already written.
Lastly, there is still the lock box on my door which is a bit annoying.
Again, the process of applying to signing the lease was positive. Once it was signed and I moved in, it was like I was forgotten about though. So with every service, take all the reviews into account before using them.

i Gotta give a big shoutout to the folks managing my new placeâthey're awesome! Since day one, they've been super helpful, always there to sort things out and make moving a breeze. And then there's Ralphâwhat a legend! Whenever something needs fixing, he's there quick and always with a smile. Thanks to this amazing team, living here feels like a walk in the park. Couldn't be happier with my decision!

I'm over the moon about my new apartment! It's got this awesome modern vibe, and the rooms are spacious and super clean. Cooking in the kitchen is a blast, and the living room feels like the perfect spot to chill. The management team rocksâthey're always on it and make sure everything's just right. Seriously, I'm loving every minute in my new sanctuary!

A great company. They are quick, diligent, and if you call maintenance it only takes up to 24 hours but most likely you will have someone way before that. They are very responsive and want to help and get things done ASAP if thereâs a problem. I love my new home!
