I had a really frustrating experience with them. After I applied for an apartment, the rent unexpectedly increased, and the included parking was suddenly changed to a paid monthly fee. In the end, I feel like I was scammed out of my application fee.

My boyfriend and I decided to rent with Pioneer Realty Group this year and it was the best decision ever! We worked with Savannah throughout the rental process and she made everything so smooth for us. She was VERY reliable and took all the pressure off, which was very much needed during times like these haha. We've been with PRG for a few months now, and have been extremely impressed with our experience so far. At move in time, they made sure our apartment was SPOTLESS and painted it very nicely. It felt so nice to move into a clean space. They always make sure they are on top of things when it comes to managing the property. Whenever we need to submit a maintenance request, they pretty much always follow up the same day to make sure it is taken care of. Thank you Pioneer!

I am currently renting the through pioneer realty group and it is HORRIBLE to say the least. I would give it 0 stars if I could. First off, me and my roommate are paying 2200 for a 2 bedroom which we originally thought was fairly priced given our location. Since moving in in August, we have had multiple issues including finding cockroaches WEEKLY! We have notified pioneer realty group and they have done nothing, which I’m pretty sure under Illinois law is illegal. Next, they advertised this apartment as a 3 bedroom when 2/3 bedrooms don’t have windows which is also ILLEGAL! The first day we moved in our door did not even lock which was very concerning considering we are two young females living on the first floor. They did nothing about it for weeks. We did not even receive keys to our mailbox when we moved in either so we have not been able to access our mail for 3 months. We have been in communication with Jon about all of these inquiries and have received less than satisfactory replies. I’m not sure how this company has such good reviews, most of them are probably fake. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! They are scammers through and through.

Update: the owner Sean ended up reaching out to me. He did not reach out to me with any intent to fix any of the problems mentioned above, only with the intent to tell me I was wrong. I told them I was open to discussing options of how we can work on this together and was given a two sentence long email telling me to take my trash out and that should fix the cockroaches. We have talked to neighbors and the entire building is infested and pioneer realty group is doing nothing. Not a single person from this company has been kind to us or responsive. Like I said, scammers.

We had a great experience with Pioneer Realty Group, specifically our agent Angelica. My boyfriend and I waited a bit too long to start looking for an apartment, but Angelica was able to find us everything we wanted, under our budget, and a 7/1 move in despite us being almost mid way through June. She was knowledgeable, on time, and super nice. After our showing, she followed up with me quickly to give us the apartment application and helped us reach out to the leasing company when we were anxiously awaiting our lease from them. Absolutely great experience compared to others we have had in the past few years trying to find an apartment in Chicago! Will 100% be reaching out to Angelica and Pioneer Realty Group when we move to our next place!

I had an excellent experience. Particularly with Betsey. She was amazing in her responsiveness, gave me plenty of options within my budget and needs, and scheduled showings quickly. Even better she was super fast helping get my application in ASAP so no one else was able to snatch up my new place before me! Can't recommend her enough, and will certainly be reaching out if and when I need to find a new space!
