They deleted my review on the Southgate apartment review site but this company is all about a dollar I moved here July 24th bathroom sink fell July 29th they didn’t come til December to fix the sink after I was forced to put my rent money in escrow cause the unit was never move in ready and after I demanded the repairs to be fixed I was forced to wait on a court date to get the matter resolved only for them to half do the job. I had a judgement that stated I had to pay 4336 by December 30th I paid 3600 got approved from state of Michigan to pay 740 all for them to still file eviction and tell me that January needs to be paid so the bailiff is set to come put me and my young children out in the cold beginning of January. not to mention the fact it’s a bad plumbing issue, huge gap was in living room door that leaks air windows leak air with no screens so it feels like a icebox in the unit even when heat is on 80 i asked the entire summer for repairs to be handled they don’t even work with you or have any sympathy of the bold living conditions the tenants has to deal with.. I have mold bubbles all over bathroom ceiling, horrible paint job, concerns on safety matter as the back entrance door stays open all night and doesn’t lock. They delete all the bad and factual reviews but leave the good ones if you considering moving to SOUTHGATE APARTMENTS here’s the sign not to do so they will mess you over big time. Staff in office is mean and rude as well. No emergency maintenance either or no maintenance at all! Pipe busted on a Thursday they didn’t come til Monday to fix it forcing all my towels to be used and Mildewed. I currently have covid along with my 6 y/o son yet we are getting put out in the cold I can’t stop crying this not fair.

Can't get help. No AC my entire lease. Can't use my patio door. I'm on crutches and they won't fix the light in the hallway so I can't even see where I'm going. Property keeps canceling my work orders for anything I submit. They said they'll still fix it but they can't have the work orders outstanding that long so they don't want me to keep resubmitting them. Sketchy, unprofessional, not worth the money by any means. Save yourself the headache and spend a little more on a property that will actually hold up their end of the lease.

We are a cleaning company that has worked with Hathaway Village Apartments directly and the first payment was late, and now they are not responding for invoices that are overdue and cannot provide an update. The property manager Illysa ignores messages and calls and does not update her vendors about status of payment or a response even after constantly reaching out. Services have been done over 60 days and now invoices are 80 days late. And no one has said when payment will be sent or update us on late invoices. This is extremely unprofessional and services should have not been asked to be performed if they cannot pay for work. I would not recommend working for this company.

DO NOT RENT FROM ANY COMPLEX OWNED & OPERATED BY THIS GROUP.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is one of the worst property management groups I have ever dealt with, and I strongly urge anyone considering renting from them to look elsewhere.

Here’s what I’ve endured as a tenant at Fountain Parc:

1️⃣ NO HEAT FOR 42+ DAYS IN WINTER (Nov 12 – Dec 23, 2024)
➡️ I submitted 10 separate maintenance requests over six weeks, and management ignored me.
➡️ They did nothing until I escalated the issue multiple times, despite freezing temperatures.
➡️ When someone finally came, the issue was resolved in one visit, proving the delay was unnecessary.

2️⃣ PLUMBING LEAK LEFT UNRESOLVED & CEILING DAMAGE COVERED UP
➡️ A severe leak from the unit above me caused major ceiling damage in my bathroom.
➡️ Instead of properly investigating the cause or assessing structural damage, they slapped some plaster over it and called it fixed.
➡️ They never repainted or restored the ceiling, leaving it visibly damaged and likely still compromised.

3️⃣ HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION & MANAGEMENT INCOMPETENCE
➡️ I had to follow up every single time on maintenance requests because the office never updates tenants.
➡️ When I formally requested to be released early from my lease due to these serious living condition failures, management ignored me for over a week before sending a generic denial.

💰 THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY, NOT TENANTS.
This company has no urgency, no accountability, and no concern for livability. They will take your rent and give you the bare minimum—if that.

I have filed a formal complaint with the Indiana Housing & Health Departments, and I highly encourage anyone else who has experienced similar issues to do the same.

Ah, so I can see unfortunately that everyone has issues with your properties. I guess complaining on here won't make your people answer their phones or take care of residents any faster as you're just as disgraceful as they are...mine being with Meridian Court South Apartments in Indianapolis.

I am about to send a certified letter and include my attorney's info as it is literally impossible to reach anyone at this complex to complete a simple move-out. You let our lease lapse and so we paid 1 month off of lease after being told by you that you wanted us out of our 4 year apartment so you could "renovate" it. You never helped with our request for moving into a downstairs apartment die to my health issues, so we provided our 60 days notice (no response), and moved out. We have been out over a month now and cannot reach anybody other than 1 time where Nelson"had to speak to management." Would that be you lovely people. Maybe if you did your jobs, your employees at other complexes would follow the same. I would rather get hit by a semi than rent from any complex associated with Pepper Pike crap.

They are long gone with the wind fortunately in our neck of the woods. My complex is under new ownership now and low and behold things are finally getting done with our apartment.

Avoid these guys like the plague. In the two years we dealt with them I never saw such a level of negligence. Just slum lords is all they are. If you find apartments associated with them avoid them at ALL COSTS.

this company still never paid me my last paycheck but that’s the smallest of the issues. they sell run down apartment units for above market value that have mold and other health hazards. they owe so many contractors money it’s actually quite sad. so many past tenants their security deposit. if they owe you, just assume they won’t pay you unless you take them to court. i still should tbh seeing as when i asked for my last check the owner tried to blackmail me. terrible management and they then every property they manage somehow into an even worse property. avoid at all costs!

Unconditional living habitations. They managed TROY PLACE APARTMENTS in 2023. They NEVER fixed the BROWN water coming out of my tub. Water coming from everywhere wasn’t fixed. And now they put something on my credit that I do not owe. I’m reporting you all on the government level and I will be compensated.
