The Apartment Building(s) are Very Close to Path Train Stations, Universities, Groceries, Restaurants, Bars, & ~20 Minutes Car Drive to Manhattan….!!

Put in a support ticket to address the lack of heating in my apartment on 11/04/24 and it's been 2 months already. I am using space heaters which use a lot of electricity. This goes against renter's rights to having heat up to 68 degrees fahrenheit from October 1 to May 1.

I'm being patient with management as they said someone was coming to look at the heating unit in the apartment on 1/24/25 at 10:30AM which moved to 2:30PM and I said that was fine. No one shows up. I called the office about 6 times and no one picked up even though their working hours are from 10AM-6PM. I'm not sure whether to give them a bit more time to get it together or just take it to the housing authority.

Been a tenant with them for over a decade and haven't given them issues with rent being late or stuff like that so when I actually have issues in my unit I expect good service. I'm very annoyed right now. I even got an email after I reached out to ask for some sort of compensation for my high electric bill.

Temps in my room reach 40 degrees...

They also like to change their LLC every year and I'm assuming that is to avoid legal issues.

"HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED" !

I’ve been in the U.S. for over three years, renting apartments from various agencies, and have always experienced prompt service and responsiveness. However, Optimum Properties has been a huge disappointment. Despite paying rent and deposit on time, I’ve faced ongoing issues like broken heaters, lack of hot water, and unaddressed safety concerns. Their slow response and poor service leave me frustrated, and I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for a more reliable and professional property management experience.

Great place to live. Management takes care of all issues on time. Moved here from San Diego California and it was a breeze to find a place to call home everything was done online and stress free. Thank you to all those involved that made it happen. If your looking for a place to live, look no further. My in-unit washer in journal square apartment has been down for more than 3.5 months and property manger cannot tell me any timeframe when the new washer can be delivered.
They admitted that after two months of my ticket for the washer, nothing has been done for me despite that I was told the washer will be replaced when the technician came to check at the beginning, and wanted to charge me for a new washer. I tried to reach out for an update in the meanwhile via both email and phone, no one responded and the lady on the phone always told me will get back to me but never did. I finally called their attention by getting several of their management ppl's emails, then they refuse to order the machine but to charge me first. Then after they finally agree to order a new one on 10/31, it's not delivered after a whole month yet, and I have no idea how long that will take.
Avoid!!!
