I recently inquired about purchasing a 2024 Honda CR-V, initially speaking with a salesperson who was polite, helpful, and even made a small price adjustment of $200 which was appreciated.

I also want to express my gratitude to sales associate Jason, who took the time to patiently show us the car over FaceTime without attempting to conceal any details. His transparency and kindness were truly appreciated, and he went above and beyond to help make the purchase happen—although, unfortunately, it did not work out.

However, upon deciding to move forward with the purchase, my experience took a disappointing turn when I was connected with Sales Manager Daniel. While he initially provided the requested cost breakdown, the numbers did not account for my Indiana residency, despite my previous mention of it. While this was later corrected, I encountered further challenges that significantly impacted my experience.

Later that day, the price of the car dropped by $500 on their website, prompting me to request an updated cost breakdown to ensure accuracy for my cashier’s check. At this point, Daniel became increasingly frustrated and spoke to us in an unprofessional manner. He threatened to increase the price back to $29,500 or even $30,000, stating he can not honor the prior pricing because of a cash purchase. While I understand that pricing adjustments may be at the dealership’s discretion, the way Daniel handled the situation was completely unacceptable and disrespectful.

As a long-time Honda owner, this is by far the worst customer service experience I have had at a dealership. While I respect the right of a dealership to adjust pricing as they see fit, no customer deserves to be treated poorly for simply asking for pricing clarification. Due to this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this dealership to any of my colleagues or friends.

I sincerely hope that Daniel and the dealership reconsider how they interact with customers and recognize that paying in cash does not justify poor treatment.

Great customer service. Melina and her team addressed my needs and concerns. There should be a monthly incentive for their hard working. Employees that take the time to care for us (customers) in keeping our cars running and in great working conditions keeps me coming back to River Oaks Honda. You have my trust in keeping me safe while driving my serviced car. It’ll be nice to pay them back and show appreciation. I hope it’s something that can be done going forward because it’s going to be a tough year. Also I love the promotional offers you have available on your website. Jacob was awesome very attentive and help me get the payment I needed for my daughter . Professionalism top tier.
Update a month later after purchase - we received two key fobs the day of purchase did let Jacob know that one of them didn’t work . They put a battery in it and it still don’t work. He said go to river oak Hyundai and have it programmed . We go there and was told that a scan or diagnostic has to be done it will be $200.
This is where everything change no one wants to pay for this diagnostic . No one wants to get the key fob programmed . It’s amazing how once you make a purchase how you are sat on a shelf and left there.
Did I mention I purchase a car from them one week after my daughter got her car. Oh yeah did I also mention my oldest daughter bought a car just two weeks after that for my granddaughter. Three cars purchase from these people and they can’t get a key fob programmed. It’s amazing . Oh yeah I was offered a $100 referral though. How thoughtful! Be aware pray nothing goes wrong we haven’t made the first payment and they are showing what our business meant to them

Earnest is really great at what he does! From the beginning of my buying process to the very end, he was very thorough with what to expect. There was no confusion or misleading information given. I know it’s his job, but he is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. I always come to this location for maintenance, but this time for a purchase. I’d highly recommend Earnest if looking to buy!

Earnest helped us and is a great salesman and trust he didn't ask me to do this, that's how good he is. He didn't B.S us like other dealerships, and when every other dealership denied us, he got it done. And he was just a all around great person. They need to promote this guy. Even if we got denied we were happy with our experience.
