Everything was fine until we got a bedbug infestation than they turned shady . They took my month rent and used it to pay for the treatment of the bugs and the rest 62 bucks was used for rent than they claimed that I didn’t pay rent for that month and that screwed the rent up. Now there threatening me with a cure or quit notice which is 3 days for me to pay the rent they screwed up or basically move out. However theres stuff they needed to fix to make it worse If you actually read the lease there's Nothing about pest control in there even though they claim there is and they don't seem to care if your on disability or not they just want there money and it's there fault the rent is screwed up. If you be that way than fine. I'm not gonna fight. I'll just take myself elsewhere. This was the Worst experience renting from someone ever. They were rude in text messages they threaten and they are rude on the phone too. So bc they screwed the rent up.. When I pay rent it's always for the month prior when it should the current month than they add late fees and it's just been shady. I dont recommend and if they comment on this and say it's lies. They are trying to make themselves look good. narcissist they surely are.

Been renting from them for about a year and a half, had a bedbug infestation spread to my unit from the downstairs neighbors and Milltown paid for the extermination in a timely fashion and have so far responded quickly to maintenance requests. Never got reimbursed for other incidental fees for the bedbugs but they still made it an easy process for me. A clerical error kept a rent payment from going through after I had to replace my bank card and they were understanding enough to waive the late fee in exchange for a good review so I thought that was fair enough.

This property scammed me and my husband. There was broken items before we moved into this house. They had us fill out a form that required us to list everything that needed to be fix. We asked about the form, they claimed they lost it. Six months later, they say we owed them over thousands of dollars for things we did not break or due. I left the place completely clean too. They never fixed anything. I’m really disheartened, because we paid our rent routinely on time and gave a 60 day notice. This place is trying to scam me and I won’t let this go. If you rent with them, take pictures of everything before and after and document everything. They even kept our security deposit and claim we still owe over $2000. Insane. We have pictures to prove our case too.

Own 2 single family in Quad. The Iowa team seems a bit better than the Illinois team, but either way, JC is great. Answers my questions, all of them, and is helpful in so many ways. Malissa from the Davenport side turned my vacant property in 2022. She was fast, great communication, she made it painless. My understanding is she is gone now. They lost a good employee.. hopefully they find someone just as good to replace her with.

Transaction dates for excessive late fee overcharges are attached with
only existing lease agreement. Lease agreement states $50 late fee.
June of 2023 they began charging $75 per late fee.

They are charging late fees for the owed late fees March of 2022,
October of 2023 and November of 2023.

3.4.2022 - Late fee of $50 for unpaid late fee seen on ledger

6.6.2023, 7.6.2023, 8.6.2023, 9.6.2023 - Overcharged for late fee by
$25 per late fee.
Total $100.00 excessive over charges as seen on ledger.

10.6.2023 & 11.6.2023 - Charged $75 for owing late fee.
Totaling $150.00 excessive overcharging in billing.

I am a Tax Accountant of 25 years and trust my recordkeeping. I have
decided not to fight when their system malfunctioned creating AI error
of NSF fee. I can eat that ... poor as I am... I am just trying to
fight the facts and what I can actually prove.

Shame on them… yesterday forcing me to empty my apartment for infestation treatment. So I did with less than 24 hour notice. I’m disabled mind you…. So it’s hard for me to empty cabinets closets and prep for treatment. It takes a whole day because it’s like you are moving packing everything up. It was a mistake no one came and I took off work!!! Tonight shannon the maintenance narcissist calls me @ 7:30 pm drunk again demanding my late fees to be paid. Cause my rent is paid up… I’ve been late 4 times? He’s talking crazy harassing me for unpaid late fees. The day after I called off work for their fake pest control. God is with me… all I know. One day they will do the right person wrong and regret ever messing with folks like me. I’m documenting everything and recording all calls for my day in court with them. Thanks Shannon for more evidence!!! Playground bullying isn’t ok!!! Fix the real issues like all the ones you keep ignoring!!! Don’t call me when you get white girl wasted demanding money for late fees!!!

Just like a narcissist he will casually admit to his wrong behavior with justifying it and making threats. Just like a mean girl he thinks it’s ok to strongarm me for demanding maintenance of the property. Because of location they want to collect rent and leave the house to the tenants when it comes to simple things they turn into big matters over time. My late fees will go towards real late issues like proper electrical repairs & mold testing from water damaged walls!!!

I made a dump my home it’s all I can afford. I’m not scared of mean girls & threats either. God fights my battles and has never let me down. He places me for his purpose. I am covered!

Fraudulent late fees were applied in October, I paid my rent on time and received a late fee on the 6th. For not paying a previous late fee. I’m not paying late fees I don’t owe. If I owe a late fee I will pay it but I will NEVER pay October late fee 2023. They are truly late on electrical repairs they only put a terrible bandage on to cover. They are overdue on mold testing for water damaged interior walls. They are very difficult to call for repairs because they turn it into an offensive argument against the tenant for complaining. The men over this property use bullying tactics. They have broken laws dealing with me while trying to intimidate me. When that doesn’t work they go right into eviction threats. I’m being threatened for eviction for late fees and now I’m being charged late fees for my late fees. But they continue to not fix the problems. They do as little as possible and should be fined for forcing me to live in a manner I can’t conform with. Give me my full deposit and first months rent I’ll move. Otherwise, we stay at war and I’m not fighting … I’m giving it all to God. God knows all and sees all. My children have been notified in case anything happens!!! Yes it’s that serious!!! I had to notify my grown 5 children of what is going on!

MillTown manages our rental home in Iowa. Our experience hasn't been great. It's hard to get in touch with Shannon, he typically does not communicate things such as tenants moving out, repairs they took out of our rent. We have to follow up and call repeatedly when we discover repairs we weren't notified about on our owners statement. It would be nice to have a conversation ahead of time to know what's been happening or why the rental income is going to be short instead he does not comm to at all. I'm hopeful to reach them today.

Bad scheduling. Never received text or email to confirm my appointment. When I did I said I had to cancel they did that really quick. Now I get an email from Colleen at 1:50 pm telling my appointment was cancelled for no response no show. You never sent the confirmation text or email Colleen! It’s unbelievable. I called to see why no one was there, my number was read back to me correctly, so why didn’t receive a text, you’re sending emails why didn’t I get an email to confirm I was coming. So yes I cancelled the appointment when I called, but the email me back acting like I didn’t show up to the appointment you never sent the confirmation

Dani was absolutely amazing. We moved into a rental property with a different company and it had a roach problem. We reached out to Dani at 2am to help us find a new place. Not only did she respond immediately at 2am but she was able to setup multiple showing for us that same day and got us into an a beautiful space with more storage and amenities for a cheaper price than our previous rent. And she did all of this in 15hrs! I don’t know where else you could go to get service like that! We went from tears to smiles all because of Dani!
