nice selection of apartments with affordable prices !!! only problem i had was when the lady told me to email my recent paycheck stub because I didn’t have any , cool . I did that . but they weren’t checking their emails so i had to call & make sure they received my emailed paycheck stub , by the time I did that she told me I wasn’t making enough , & that they had already rented the apartment I was looking at to someone else….. somebody could’ve called & told me they weren’t gonna be able to help me & they rented it out … that was very upsetting for me but other than that the people that work there are sweet & generous ?

They have always taken great care of the apartments and are very quick to fix things im not the best tenant, but they always seem to be willing to work with me and help me solve any issues that might arise

In response to the bad reviews it is unfortunate that people feel the need to try to destroy a company that has been in business for 40 years and is loved by so many current and previous tenants. Per the lease if there is a violation such as "no cats allowed" and the person has 3 cats then per the lease they will have to move. If the person had been honest up front about having cats they would not have been able to rent with our company. This person put NO Pets in the space provided on the application. I will review the deposit in this situation. Concerning the review about costly maintenance. Most tenants don't really understand the cost of maintenance. When a tenant destroys property or request multiple things they have broken over and over to be fixed it is not financially responsible as a company to keep a tenant like this..Most tenants are not as destructive as the person leaving the response about their mother being non-renewed. We care about our tenants and really appreciate the ones that appreciate all we do to keep their apartments in good shape.

Stay away from mid south, My mom rented from them for 2 years. She had problems about them fixing things and when they came they would give her attitude like it was her fault. One day for no reason she received a letter in the mail from midsouth saying they wasn’t renewing her lease and she has 30 days to move out!!!!! My mom was in shock, it was a month to month lease so she didn’t understand why or what she did. She always paid every month on time and was never late so we called midsouth and ask them why they wasn’t renewing her lease and the lady said because my mom cost them $2200 in repairs and because she doesn’t like my mom. I was like $2200 how, you all only fixed a couple of leaks in the bathroom and the water heater that busted which had nothing to do with my mom so I’m not understanding she said point blank I don’t like your mom and I want her out then she hung up. WOW very unprofessional so I called back and ask for the man name who owned that property she said she would have to look it up and call me back, never heard back from them so I drove down from Atlanta to move my mom back with me until I could find her a place of her own. I’m writing this review because these people are cruel if my mom didn’t have me she would have been homeless. My mom is an older lady, diabetic and she’s always nice. Not sure if they were racist or not because my mom is white but she has biracial kids and grandchildren that stop by to check on her time after time. Last thing when I move my mom in we told them that the carpet was horrible they said someone would come by to clean it, never happened instead we cleaned them so after receiving that letter to get out they said they will send her deposit to my house instead they sent us nothing but a letter saying they were keeping her deposit all $400 to clean the carpets that were messed up before she even moved in. STAY AWAY wish I could give them no stars.

Rented from them for 2 years when I finally moved they kept my deposit and told me that the fifty-year-old stove that was in my apartment was broken I explained to them that the back to eyes weren't working when I moved in I filed complaints about this but they never came and fixed it the woman at the front desk told me that because an additional eye on the stove had been burned out that they would be keeping my deposit. I left the place cleaner than when I had moved in. I don't think an old stove is worth $400 deposit. When I moved in the place was disgusting and there was a nasty Brown film covering the toilet in which I was told if I clean it they would knock $20 off my rent so I did. If you get the opportunity to move into the 1610 apartments on 15th Street South please don't the rats are still eating the wires and mold is still being painted over.

My Mother and I are making the area our new home from Michigan. My friend who rents from you told me there good apartments but im kinda scared seening all the bad reviews? We're good honest people down to earth pay our bills on time. We're looking for a place to call home! I'll apply but will definitely take vedeo of the place we get to show that the apartment is how it is! To cover our end.. and get our deposit back! I hope im doing the best thing by renting from this place? You can't always believe all the hype! But again? I'll definitely cover my end!

Kept my $400 deposit for a stove that didn't work when I first moved in. I complained about the stove within a week, they never fixed it, then took my deposit as payment. Talked to the new renter and they have the exact same stove...wow...
