I was very disappointed in this cabin. First I will start with the bads. 1. Do not use your GPS to get you there because you will never find it. 2. Neither of the grills had been cleaned off and there was nothing to clean them with. They were covered in old pieces of food. So I did not get to grill my food I brought. 3. The rugs had not been vacuumed or floors swept. There was dirt who knows what else all over them 4. I am not sure what the "Stocked Pond" is stocked with but it is not fish. This was my whole reason for picking this cabin and for 2 days we did not get a single nibble from any fish. We used several different baits (live and plastics and crank baits) at different times of the day and nothing. 5. If you want to play any of the many games then good luck. The only one that is fully put together now is the Monopoly because we pieced it back together. 6. You can not adjust the temp on the hot tub. It is 104 degrees or nothing.
NOW THE GOOD 1. If you want to be away from everyone and everything it's great. It is a very peaceful place to stay. The only person or animal we saw was a big white dog from across the pond and he was very sweet. 2. If you are a reader or like to watch movies this cabin is for you. I have never stayed anywhere with near the collection of both. It was pretty amazing. 3. If you have kids there are tons of toys for them to play with. 4. Other than the grill scraper to clean it with the kitchen has everything that you could possibly need to cook with. So depending on the reasons you rent this cabin it can be a good or bad experience. Unfortunately for us it was not good.

Just returned from a fabulous stay at the Mountain View Inn! The home was impressive and decorated beautifully! Our master suite with a king bed was spacious and comfortable with a massive balcony table, chairs and swing. Perfect for morning coffee with a view of 3 states! Our breakfast was so delicious too! Served hot with waffles, eggs, fruit, and crispy bacon!
The house is perfect for a large family or reserve a suite for a more intimate stay!

This is an old inn, so the vibe is rustic. Small bathrooms have been added to each room for comfort, but you still get the feeling of the bygone days. The Innkeeper is helpful and kind. And the breakfast is like your grandma cooked - delicious! It is located within walking distance to the craft cabins, Wildflower Cafe and Elevation Bistro.

Beautiful view and a lovely B&B. Rooms were beautiful and fantastic great room with a fireplace and a view for miles. Our hostess Bayliee was very gracious and an excellent breakfast cook. A sweet was served at night. You won't be disappointed with a stay at Mountain View.

Mentone Cabins Suite Retreat

We really loved it here. It was very nice and peaceful. The cabin itself was great. I loved the old look to it and how they had everything coordinated with the cabin. Only thing we didn't like was the bed but you get that with every rental, nothing beats your own bed at home. It was clean and set nicely when we arrived. The trail to the pond was beautiful and so relaxing to walk. The hot tub was amazing to come back to after hiking in the woods and long days away from cabin. It was very cozy. The drive to town wasn't that bad. Its about 30 minutes but we are use to driving that everyday at our own home. We will definitely be booking again.. Thank you!

Our vacation stay at Mentone Cabins was a true delight. We, along with another couple, had the entire downstairs of the main house. Darlene was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. Our full breakfast was very good. And the view, well it can’t be beat! A beautiful property!

We stayed two nights during the July 4th weekend. Hayley texted with us a few days prior to our arrival, giving us info on restaurants and things to do in the area. She met us outside when we arrived and gave us a tour. The room (and entire place) was super clean. We had a great breakfast each morning. During our stay it was the little things ( Independence Day themed napkins with breakfast, bringing our breakfast to our room and fresh cookies left at our door) that made the stay feel special. Hayley is so sweet and you can tell she cares about making your stay comfortable. The porch views are spectacular!! We were able to watch fireworks that were all across the valley and could see for miles away. Highly recommend this Inn!

Sweetheart Suite

We absolutely loved the suite we were in and were lucky enough to have the entire inn to ourselves. Darlene, the inn keeper, is amazing and so friendly. She definitely made sure we were happy with everything. The location is great and only 4 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Mentone. The view was great as well. My wife and I left agreeing we would skip the Smokies and return to Mentone. Be sure to check out Desoto Falls not far away as well.
