Matt West was outstanding from start to finish. Matt represented us as the buyer on a property, so this review is from a Buyer's perspective. We'd use him again in a heartbeat and we have already recommended him to family/friends who are possibly interested in this area's real estate.

Finding the house: Matt helped us find interesting properties in the area, at times showing us homes before they were generally listed. He also got us signed up to receive alerts for newly listed properties that met our criteria of interest. Matt was very patient with us while we looked at properties. The home we eventually purchased -- I think we spent 3 hours looking at the home and property the first time we viewed it. Matt also viewed homes for us (we lived out of state), sending us videos of the properties.

Making the offer: Matt was very supportive of our multiple offers on the home we ultimately purchased. The first two offers were rejected without counters. But Matt kept the lines of communication open with the Seller's agent. Matt also connected us with an appraiser; Matt sought and received permission from the Sellers to do an appraisal without the property being under contract. In the end that appraisal supported our offer price and was critical in the purchase. On the last and final offer, Matt made it clear via the Sellers' agent that this was last and final.

Due Diligence: Matt introduced us to great inspectors. Instead of using a general inspector, we used licensed professionals to look at Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC systems in the home. Matt also connected us with shoreline experts to assess our "bluff" property. We continue to use those professionals with our plumbing, electrical, and HVAC needs.

Closing: Matt also helped with the closing. We were moving to Alabama and didn't have legal contacts. Matt connected us with an attorney who created a Trust into which the home was purchased; that saves our loved ones lots of headache and money upon our death. Matt also did a final walkthrough on our behalf the night before closing as we were selling our then current home the same day in another state.

All in all Matt was outstanding to work with. He was always on time, returned calls, and stayed on top of the deal.
