My family and I relocated from Oregon to Walnut Creek California. We rented a property listed by Marples Property Management. We felt very taken care of by them. When we encountered a few minor issues, we submitted a ticket and the repairs were done the same or next day. They also always answered then phone and responded to all our questions and concerns.They maintained great communication and ensured an easy transition during our move and through the remaining time at the rental. We highly recommend them to any person looking for a reliable company that cares about their tenants.

Used their services and it was very bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone I care about. The owner supposed to rent our house and since day one she recommended us to decrease the rent amount though it was her first time in our area. You will find her always bragging about her 45 years of experience that benefits you in nothing. I put our house on marketplace and received almost 8 messages and she received none inquiries. When I asked why, she mocked me saying that they may not know how to do the business. Though I wanted to confirm her insult but I had to be patient because we want the house rented. She didn’t recommend any updates to make the house attractive to tenants and she took the house photos with her phone without excluding any clutter in the pictures. She excused that the professional photographer was busy, which I doubt they even exist. She is not very reachable either to us to to tenants and I have a proof. To cancel the contract, it took us about 5 calls and couple messages to get a response. Finally, she answered, put me on hold 15 minutes without a word. She rudely cancelled the contract and almost hang the phone at my husband face.
You can try yourself but if turned out true, let others know so no one stuck with them and waste time paying their own mortgage while they can rent it and reduce their financial burden.

Absolutely the most unprofessional Realtor and office I have ever dealt with. Cathie and her son Matt mismanaged my property by keeping funds with no valid explanation whats so ever even though my husband and I requested on numerous occasions copies of receipts for work they claimed was performed by them. The over charging for the mediocre craftsmanship is astounding! We tried firing them several times and were met with opposition and supposal contract penalties. We finally had enough and had to hire a representative and just like that the contract was canceled. Cathie and her son Matt are bullies unethical and unprofessional! Dont let them represent you they are modern day crooks! Buyer beware. If you want your money stollen and property mis managed they yes hire them!

I worked with several different companies and I interviewed every management company in the area before I found Marples Property Management.

What I love about Marples is they treat your property as if it's their own. They also have an experienced local team of leasing agents, repair personal, contractors, bookkeepers, lawyers etc along with processes and software to help streamline all aspects of managing your real estate portfolio.

I'm grateful for their partnership and for the peace of mind I have for knowing my investments are in capable hands so I can focus on my day job / family.

The company breached the entry portion of our lease a few times. Sending repair man and staff out to the property I was leasing without proper prior notice and for things we didn’t request or agree on with the landlord. The last month they will act as if you haven’t paid for the premises and enter as they please to the point you no longer have reasonable peace in the home you are still PAYING FOR. Even if it takes longer try to find a home to rent one that is not managed by these people. They are Unprofessional, unethical and will try to get away with underhanded things. I would NEVER EVER rent a property through them again. Listen to the warnings of the people who have written a review.

Speaking to someone named Tonya, or Tasha, I called regarding the property on 2204 Lemontree Way. She was very rude and unprofessional. She didn't even sound like a happy person at all. I thought I was being polite by saying, "please and thank you" but the attitude I got over the phone was uncalled for.

She said, "You aren't from the area, are you?" I said, "No, I'm from Fresno but I'll be in the area over the weekend". Her response was, "I would do a drive-by if I were you". I asked if it were possible for her to tell me about the area. She stated, "I can't tell you about the neighborhood, because that would be illegal" and "I would drive around the neighborhood later in the evening. If you decide it's a nice-enough area for you, we'll be glad to help you out." She ended it with, "I don't know if you're able to read through those lines...dear".

I know in writing it doesn't sound like she meant to be rude, but the tone of her voice sounded as if she didn't want to help me at all.

I'm planning to move to the East Bay area in a month and this experience did not make things any easier.

If you call this business, be sure to speak to Ms. Marples, herself.

Terrible experience with this company on a rental. Even the owner of the company doesn't care enough to get back to you. Wish I had read reviews before renting a property they managed. I will definitely never use them again.

Rented property from Marples, fullfilled our lease when it came time to collect our deposit she ignored our phone calls
regarding questions concerning unfair deductions. Would not recommend this agent for rental or sales
