So far not so good.... over 100 issues that I have photographed, just small things like dishwasher not working and not connected, hall bath sink leaking for over a week now with absolutely ZERO response from the company. Numerous light bulbs out on move in. Pics are included to warn folks,,, do not trust this company.
43 minutes on hold to get a person,,, but I got one.

On 9-10-24 I used the Resident Portal again to enter 7 more maintenance requests, they now no longer appear in the My Requests tab of te Resident Portal.
9-17. Ron came by for the first of many visits to come. He is the bomb. Fixed the issue quickly
If the review was for Ron, it would be 5 stars but his performance did raise the 1 star to a 2. MS still not a good company to deal with, Ron is a great guy to deal with.

Their maintenance workers dumped their trash on my private property, did they think I wouldn't look in the bag? Shame on them. Also, if you are going to rent from them, beware they supposedly do not have a number for management. Good luck with your needs and concerns.

I moved out of a property almost two months ago and still have not received my security deposit back. I've called several times and they constantly state they are unaware of what my deposit return status is. Home was left in impeccable condition so should have been an open and shut case but this is getting ridiculous.

Update. It's been two weeks and I still have not received a response from the company. They are trying to keep my deposit and charge me for things that were not on me. I highly recommend using a different company.

I would not recommend renting from Main Street Renewal. When we were in the process of getting our apartment, communication was great—they answered our questions promptly and were quick to return calls. However, once we moved in, everything changed. We discovered a strong odor, like dog urine, around the house that we hadn’t noticed during the initial showing. We were then told that we would have to pay to have the carpet cleaned or replaced. On top of that, getting in touch with someone about these issues has been nearly impossible. Calls are routed to a call center where agents seem uninformed and unable to provide real solutions. We've also been charged unexplained fees without any clear explanations. It’s frustrating to pay so much for rent only to have our concerns ignored. It’s clear that they care more about collecting money than addressing tenant needs. Overall, this has been one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had.

I moved into my home on the 24th only to find out the entire plumbing system was destroyed. I have not been able to use water in the home. The pipes burst causing electrical issues, mold, floors caving in. I’ve been told to self relocate. I keep being told the issue is being escalated with no resolve. I’ve requested moving into another vacant property for days, as I havnt been able to live in this home a single day. Just to be told to keep waiting on a response. They knew about the issue before I moved in and did not inform me. Absolutely appalling.

We have an open case we’ve also been informed by your team, the issue was known about since before we signed the lease and moved in. None of that was disclosed. Three vendors have cancelled to do the repairs and the other is stating it won’t be done anytime soon. Only to be told to find somewhere else to live. That is unacceptable and a movement to another property should be a non-issue. Seeing as we have not lived here a single day because of the issues.

I was interested in several main street renewal properties but at this point you could not pay me to live in one of their homes. The renovations were nice but none of the properties had microwaves or washer/dryers. The touring experience was a nightmare. It was an automated service that you have to pay for. I had problems accessing one of the properties and it was difficult to let someone know. If you have an questions about specific properties it's nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone to ask questions. Based on other reviews, it seems like they don't become any more reliable once you sign a lease. I strongly advise against even touring properties owned by this company, nevermind actually living in one.

I'm very skeptical after reading these reviews. They say online that they work with housing voucher tenants but with so many properties in bad condition and MS charging them for everything and not wanting to fix anything in a timely manner let's me know that they don't lease to people with a voucher because mdha isn't going for any of that. They do inspections upon move in and if maintenance and getting them to repair things or treat things that are urgent as such is a problem for regular renters im not sure how they treat mdha tenants. So with everything being said they would fail leaving plenty of us without a home. I'm not sure at all about this company and it's true motives. You have to do right by people and good will come back to you always.
