We began working with Lian & Jane in the summer of 2022 when planning to move to the South of France and looking for a long term rental. They identified multiple properties and we traveled in December to look at options. They could not have been more helpful. We found the perfect place for us and they negotiating a very favorable years rental agreement. Upon moving to France last March they have been invaluable in helping us acclimate with finding services, get a car, introducing us to many new friends. Just this month they negotiated another great 12 month lease for us at our same place. Additionally, they found us a wonderful place to rent this summer to host our large family when they visit. They are much more than just a leasing agency. They truly care about their clients.

A very Big Thank you to long term rentals in France we could not speak higher of their services , as a company they were amazing our property was excellent we were extremely happy with everything from the meet and greet right through to our departure day.
We had a couple of small questions and found the company so helpful and responded to our queries with all the information we required very quickly. We have used other companies in the past who certainly were not as good as this company. We would highly recommend then and most definitely will be using them if we decide to rent in the future. Thank you again to all the team we really appreciate the help we received.

We would highly recommend this company. We have enjoyed a long term rental through them. The house was exactly as described and we must say the owners of this company were extremely helpful in so many ways, providing a service above and beyond expectations. They were highly professional before during and after our rental. We would not hesitate to use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
When there is problem, they do not want to know and ignore all your emails and phone calls.
The owner of the property where we were staying cut short our stay by 2 nights, as she had double booked! We asked Long Term Rentals in France to pay this back to us, as the contract we had signed was with them directly. Despite our best efforts to resolve this, they didn’t want to know, ignored all our emails and voice messages and never gave us our money back, for the two nights we had lost. This is an unscrupulous, devious and dishonest business, whom we would strongly advise people never to use.

I have been trying for several weeks to get information about an apartment that I want to rent through this organization. I have gotten no responses. I just called them during business hours. No one answered the phone. I left a voicemail and will see if I get a response. Too bad because they have some places that look nice. I left one star only because I couldn’t post with zero.

Long Term Rentals in France helped us find a wonderful French Rental! They worked with me to find just the right property - at a very reasonable price and it is pet-friendly! They handled all of the rental paperwork with the property owner and were always available, quick and patient when responding to my questions.

They also have very good rental information and articles on their website. Just scroll to the bottom and you'll find information on preferred rental areas, how to rent, living in france, etc.

I am in the USA and I was thankful to find a great English-speaking rental company that could assist me with my first-time rental. Now I can spend time practicing my French! Thank you, Long Term Rentals in France!

“DO NOT SIGN A RENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY, AS IT WON’T BE WORTH THE PAPER IT’S WRITTEN ON! THEY WILL CLAIM THE CONTRACT YOU HAVE SIGNED IS WITH THE OWNER DIRECT AND NOT THEM” (EVEN THOUGH THE CONTRACT IS WRITTEN ON THEIR LETTERHEAD AND WITH THEIR TERMS & CONDITIONS)

Mr Laverock,

It is clear from your response of this morning 12 February 2024 (Google review) that you have deliberately manipulated the true facts in our complaint, in a pathetic attempt to exonerate yourself and your company from any blame in this dispute. Instead you have strung together a pack of lies and made us out to be the villains in all this.
Our stay at the property was for 5 months and not 4 months as you claim. May we suggest that you check the contract we signed with yourselves and please state otherwise. Yes you did inform us to make a deduction of €160 from the final months rent, in respect of the 2 days that our stay was cut short. However it is evident that you never discussed this with the owner and when our security deposit was returned to us, it was then taken back! When we asked for your help to sort this out with the owner, after we had moved out of the property, you did not want to know and expected us to sort the issue out ourselves with the owner direct. When we attempted to do this, the owner turned nasty and made a false claim that we were responsible for the swimming pool turning green. The swimming pool turned green, because the pump wasn’t working properly and the owner wasn’t putting enough chemicals in it. Whilst we accept that it was a condition of the contract for us to pay for the swimming pool chemicals that were used, it was not our responsibility to maintain it and both you and the owner have made false claims that this was a condition of the contract. We have asked both you and the owner to send us a copy of the signed agreement where it states that we were responsible for cleaning and dosing the swimming pool with chemicals, to which neither of you have been able to do so as this is completely untrue.
Now you have suddenly decided to make a slur on my personal character and apparently you find my behaviour disturbing!! Might this be due to the fact that I have complained about your company and your terrible customer service, and you don’t like it?
The final email which we sent to you on 21 September 2023, politely requested that either, you take responsibility yourself and return the €160 to us, or that you got the owner to do the same. You completely ignored this which shows what an unprofessional and uncaring company you are. We hope that the people who read this will take heed and be very careful before considering entering into a contract with your company: Long Term Rentals in France.

THIS COMPANY WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY WHEN THEY HAVE MADE A MISTAKE! THEY WILL MANIPULATE YOUR COMPLAINT AND BLAME YOU FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE!

Mr Lavercock,

In response to your latest message, regarding the 2 days where we are owed a refund and by which you have refused to do so, can I ask you not to make false allegations without proof to back this up. We did deduct 2 days (€160) from the July 2023 rent of €2500 (we paid €2340) but we did in fact pay the full €300 for the July utilities and not €140 as claimed in a txt message received from the owner dated 9th Aug 2023 this amount was then taken back from our deposit without warning.

This has nothing to do with the swimming pool, which we were not responsible for and again you have no proof or contract to say that we were responsible for maintaining the swimming pool.

We do not have a vendetta against your company or the owner, we just want potential future customers to know, how you behave when things go wrong. The only reason you are not prepared to give us this money back is because you don’t want this to take a dent out of your profits and are not prepared to accept responsibility for a mistake that you made. You instructed us to take the €160 from the final months rent, without discussing this with the owner first, along with messing up the dates of our stay.

One final thing, if we did have a vendetta against the owner then we would have reported her to the local authority for illegally emptying and refilling the pool during a drought. As you will know the penalty for this is very serious.

See below final txt message from the owner of the 9th Aug 2023, which shows the full breakdown of our final bill and nothing whatsoever is mentioned regarding a deduction for a green pool!

Hello Dawn and Charlie, I have just made you a transfer of 1136 euros which breaks down as follows: you gave me a deposit of 1500€ + 4 times 300 and 140 (July) for the charges, i.e. 2840 €. I deduct 165 for Wi-Fi (33/month), 700 for gas (heating and gas cooker). You have used 35% of the 2000 € tank. €300 for 3 months of swimming pool products. 539 for 5 months of electricity according to your meter reading taken on March 1st and July 29th. That is to deduct a total of 1704. I hope that these calculations will be clear to you and remain at your disposal if you want photos of the meter, pool cash tickets, etc. Have a nice day Dorothy
