My family owns several apartment buildings that we use to manage ourselves. At a certain point, we all came to the conclusion that we just couldn't do as good of a job as a professional property management company.

After considering several companies, we hired Lexington Property Services, and we could not be happier. They are a personal, thoughtful, cost conscious, and wonderful communicators. For our larger projects, they always compile a nice spreadsheet so we can see the competitive bids. They do comp studies for us so that we can see that we are getting the highest rent. They make recommendations for improvements that will help the property in the long term and make the tenants quite happy in the short term.

Lexington also goes the extra mile, to say the least. During one rainstorm, for example, Doug called me from the property where he was standing knee deep in water and mud because the drainage was not working. It was so bad that there was a chance the water was going to damage the cars in the garage and spill into the laundry room. He and his teamed worked tirelessly into the night to make sure that the water did not cause any damage to the property. While there, Doug happened to replace several burnt out bulbs and inspected the roof. If I remember correctly, he and his lovely wife were supposed to go out for dinner that night when he got the call about the drain problem. He was there for 8 hours, and he didn't get home until after midnight. His wife is a saint too!

Special shout out to Margaret and Hope who are always available to us day or night. I have never had any trouble reaching them. You cannot go wrong with Lexington, and I cannot recommend them enough!

There simply is no need to go anywhere else! When you sign up with Lexington Property Management you soon discover that you have in actuality joined Lexington PM as a member of their family.

Everyone is incredible from the top down and they all go out of their way to add a personable concierge service. No joke. They love what they do and they treat everyone beautifully. They treat both the landlord and the tenant with respect and can even step in and calm any ripples, disagreements, or clear up any miscommunications. They truly are a unique group and they operate very old school as in the days when customer service really meant something.

They are all very good, honest, and sincere people and no matter what topic you discuss with LPM you always find yourself laughing frequently. They will tell you when they think your choices are not beneficial for you in the long run. They are a plethora of information. Above all you definitely feel that they are there for you and available when you need them. Furthermore, they know people management and how to navigate diplomatically.

The LPM team intrinsically knows this industry and offer all services—they will list, show your property, and vet tenants, do full property management, or if you desire they will simply handle billing and collect the rent (even digitally online) and submit you with an annual breakdown for your taxes. They will even assist you with evictions! Additionally, they have a “rolodex” of excellent house repairmen whom they will refer you to.

My boyfriend and I did a lot of research trying to find the best property management group and many did not offer all of these services. Of the few who did offer many of the same services their fees were outlandish. Believe me, you really WANT LEXINGTON on your side.

You really want and need Doug, Hope, Margaret, Bernie, Tanaya and crew on your side. Between my boyfriend and I we will ultimately have 3 separate residences that LPM will manage.

My boyfriend and I urge anyone who is seeking a property management company to choose LPM and if you already have a property management to drop your current management group and select Lexington. Mark my words, you will be so happy you did!

As a renter, stay far away from any property managed by these people. We should have seen the writing on the walls when it took them over three weeks to process our application. As a landlord, if all you care about is money, I guess these are the people to hire.

They are entirely unresponsive and unprofessional, and if you move into one of their properties you'd better hope that there's nothing wrong with it when you move in or they will try their hardest to make you financially liable for it. There was a broken pipe when we moved in (as evidenced by them calling us to check for a leak because they received abnormally high water bills during the time the house was vacant). We spent TWO YEARS trying to get them to cover the excess cost of the water caused by the leak. The only reason they eventually caved was because we dug up our move-in checklist which mentioned that the sprinkler pipes were leaking.

These people do not do their jobs and often will simply not respond to emails or texts at all. They will do whatever they possibly can to not put any money into fixing up their properties. They were perfectly happy to brag in their new listing about the fresh coat of paint we put on the walls though!

Please think twice when you are dealing with this company. They blame the owners, who might not even be in the know, for their lack of professionalism and the delay in giving you an answer.
