I have rented from Laing Management on two separate occasions. The first time was while I was in college and the second time after graduation.

During both rental experiences, I found the staff at Laing to be polite and friendly. We found if we had any problems or maintenance issues; they were handled quickly and professionally; the older maintenance guys were friendly and helpful.

The current apartment started with Laing and switched to Townsend. With Laing, maintenance was handled quickly, we loved them. Just be a reasonable tenant and pay bills on time. When the switch in management happened, Laing seemed as surprised as we were. I really do miss them and would happily rent from them again.

After exhausting months of cleaning the mold in and outside my refrigerator, Laing Management (Kathy/Lori) were quick to correct and replace the refrigerator and faucet that continued to build up mold. I should have called and reported the issue earlier. I moved into their property in November 2017 and the management team has always been very easy to work with. They care about their property and tenants. Kathy and Lori, thank you very much for caring about my issues and health!!!

I rented from Laing for 5 years. They're incredibly friendly people and very reasonable. If you are pay your bills on time and respect their lease agreement and don't bother your neighbors, they will treat you like friends and will even go out of their way to let your mistakes slide. But if you don't respect the lease agreement or bother your neighbors, you might not have a great experience.

Best leasing company I have ever rented from. Anything that was wrong with the apartment during my time there was fixed in a timely fashion. Rent was very reasonable, and having in apartment laundry is so nice. I lived there for a bout a year and a half and never had a major issue. I miss living in my apartment.

In my case they do not care genuinely about their tenants. Living for 2 years in an OUTDATED apartment it had a lot of issues. Myself and my roommates had to check if everything was working prior to even using anything so we wont get charged. Some of the many problems the fridge stink and it always leaked and of course we could not get a new one!!! The garbage disposal kept not working so we had to call Kathy for that and so on. It is so devastating that Kathy does not send an inspector in between semester's for which she made it seem it is costly to have an inspector during that time. Thing is some tenants moved out to be replaced their place and unfortunately they left leaving some damages behind which were clearly stated to Kathy personally and didn't bother to look at all the pictures I had in hand she just wanted a brief statement of it which did not testify for the actual pictures. Point is the new tenants were charged for Several things that was stated by Kathy that they WILL NOT be charged at the end. I respectfully do not recommend these apartments to new college students unless you want to deal with extremely charges at the end that is very unfairly to be charged with.

Honestly before you rent from here look at the “owners” response to poor reviews. They all are rude and “YOU NEVER RENTED FROM US” who want to rent from someone who goes online to be rude and unprofessional? Like seriously. I rented from one of their more maintained properties in Sycamore and honestly it was okay but I see a few reviews say they may be a bit racist and I agree 100000%! Very condescending and impulsive. Oh “owner” please save your time and don’t reply back with “YOU NEVER RENTED FROM US” because I will GLADLY upload a copy of my lease during my time there. Just work on your professionalism or hire someone who can better manage your online interactions.

theyre friendly people. thats the only good thing i have to say though. CHEAP says it all. don't bother going out of your way to keep your place in shape or clean before you move. i spent an entire month cleaning my apartment, inside out, up and down, top to bottom and got none of my security deposit back AND charge another $80!! the apartments are all outdated that they own. no matter how much you clean it, they will replace the outdated and worn down things in the unit and pin it on YOU and keep your entire security deposit. HORRIBLE thing to do to a nice responsible tenant.

Worse management with rude staffs especially Kathy. If y’all are thinking renting here, please think twice because you deserve some respect and peace. Oh btw, instead of giving back your security deposit, they are known for sending you a bill to request for money after lease ends.
